(no subject)

Just a simple design I did for a postcard for an event that the California Academy of Sciences hosts every third Thursday of every month. I'm supposed to market to 18-25 year-olds, which I think is kind of stupid and is probably the reason I'm not really into it, because the real Academy isn't trying to market to that age group at all. Oh well, I'm just trying to crank it out at this point; this is a postcard and part of a 15-or-so-part project all based on the same thing: African penguins and the Academy of Sciences. (And these aren't actual size, so they're actually readable in real life.)

PS. To be honest with you, I like graphic design, but fuck the fact that I haven't been a writer in a year. I really miss writing. It was my thing before I knew I even had a thing. I'm hoping more than anything else in the world that eventually I will be given many more times in my life when writing is what matters most, and I will not leave a word unturned, so to speak. It's going to take time, though, which I find to be extremely unfortunate, because I can't deny that I feel entirely incomplete without this important part of my life being present as it seemingly always has been. Ugh.
