robbie has no regrets

We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.

Happy belated Birthday, lilysaid!
And Happy Birthday, stellamira!
I wish you both all the best! *hugs lots*

mabiana, I got the card/advent calendar yesterday! Thank you so much! *hugs*

So, Monday I went to Vienna, spent the afternoon with _strange_music_, which was great! :-D
And then I met up with dominik (we met for the first time!) and we went to see Adam Lambert together! The show as really, really fantastic, Adam's got a really great voice. And the company was awesome, too! We had glow stick fights! :-D
Apparently there was some smooching going on on stage, but I didn't see anything. There were too many heads and hands holding phones/cameras in the way. Woe!

Today, I ordered the limited edition of Robbie Williams' The Definitive Collector's Edition. It's really kind of expensive, but as saba1789 and [personal profile] tmz_cori pointed out (which means that I can totally blame it on them!) it's Christmas (and my birthday) in less than a month and I should treat myself. So I did, a present for myself :-).

And when I got home after work I watched Look Back, Don't Stare, a behind the scenes documentary of the recording of Take That's latest album. This was so, so awesome, heartbreaking and also happy-making. I love them all so much! ♥
I think I need Take That icons!

If all the world's a stage, I want to operate the trap door.

1) MegaUpload Toolbar almost killed my Firefox! D: For a while I wasn't even able to open FF in saved modus. And then when it finally worked I (because I just click without reading) checked the "let's deactivate all the addons and plugins forever and ever" button. I managed to make it work again, but so much fail on my part! /o\

2) I totally forgot to say yesterday that saba1789 gave me a postcard from Amsterdam and an awesome Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam t-shirt last weekend! So much ♥♥♥ for Saba!

guinness is good for you

We are here on Earth to do good to others. What the others are here for, I don't know.

1) Weekend in Vienna with liriel_, saba1789, Saba's co-worker, and rikes was great! We had fun at the Schönbrunn gardens, Starbucks, and the Schönbrunn zoo!

At the zoo we saw a week old baby elephant, which was so cute! And Saba turned into a giant turtle! No, really! She totally did! I have the pictures to prove it. :-D

2) Lots of hugging with Saba was had! \o/

3) I'm having a bottle of Guinness right now! \o/

4) My baby troll hunter was hunting in Zul'Gurub today. She kind of sucked, but so did the others. Heh. Unsurprisingly no mounts dropped. But it was fun.
arthur is pretty

Humor is just another defense against the universe.

Happy Birthday, lilysaid! I wish you all the best! *hugs*

Friday afternoon I went to Vienna for the weekend. I met up with _inbetween_ and had a nice chat, but way too short, while having dinner (somehow we ended up in McDonalds). After that I went to liriel_'s place.

On Saturday we went to the book fair, which was a bit expensive (good thing I had coupons!), but nice. We spent a couple hours there (it wasn't that big) and then made our way through the cold and snow (turns out my winter boots aren't fit for winter anymore, my feet were wet and cold! /o\) to get some dinner at Friday's (\o/).

Back at Li's place she showed me WoW and I got to create a character and played for the first time. It was kinda cool. I don't know if it's something that can grab my attention, but it was nice, even though I didn't have a clue what I was doing (meep! weird spider-thingies attacked me!). I pimped a few TV shows and Li seemed very taken with Life on Mars (UK).

Yesterday, I went home again. Bleh. Had today off (didn't do much) and it's back to work tomorrow (double bleh).

We are always the same age inside.

Happy Birthday, the_milky_way! I wish you all the best! *hugs*

I'm back home from my weekend trip to Vienna. sinden and I had so much fun! We did the touristy stuff, like go to Schönbrunn, the Hofburg, the Albertina for the Van Gogh exhibition, etc. We went to a real Viennese coffee house and had some great Austrian food (and some American food at T.G.I. Fridays ;-). And of course we did a lot of walking and talking. Hee.

We were very sad when I had to leave :-( and tomorrow morning Sin is leaving Austria behind :-(. But it was a fantastic weekend! \o/
kevin/ba'al (_inbetween_)

It's okay if you mess up. You should give yourself a break.

I'm wearing my cranky pants today. Pretty much everything irritated me today and the stress at work didn't really help.

Now it's the weekend! Yay.

And tomorrow I'm going to Vienna for the weekend to meet up with sinden! I even managed to get all the papers I need so that I can vote in Vienna on Sunday, if I find a place where I can vote that is.

So, yes, we have elections on Sunday, which is not a world wide event like another election that I could mention ;-). We elect a new parliament and if things are going like they have in the past few years, we're probably going to elect yet another new parliament next year. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, sinden tomorrow! \o/
ewan is a bit crazy

All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.

Happy Birthday, cedara! All the best! *hugs*

So, I'm back home and I had a great time in Vienna with liriel_.

Sunday afternoon I went to the museum of contraception and abortion, which was very interesting. It was small, just two rooms. One was devoted to contraception, about everything women did to avoid getting pregnant and how to tell that you're pregnant (very fascinating was the frog test).

The second room was about abortion and the history of it. The things they did or had to do and often enough the result wasn't pretty. It's scary how many countries still don't think that women have the right to decide for themselves what they want.

Yesterday, first we went to the Jewish Museum. It was very interesting, although there was quite an information overload. And then we visited izsabella and koorifumi in their new and awesome apartment. And then the four of us went to see Stardust, which was very awesome. Of course now I have to go and read the book and see what they changed ;-). After the movie there was yummy food at T.G.I. Friday's.

And today I went home. Yay. Of course now I have to catch up with everything.
embrace (coreopsis)

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I just came back from a delightful evening at the African restaurant where I had dinner with _sushi_, Heli and his girlfriend Andrea. It was especially good to see Heli again, since because of work he's practically living in Vienna. As usual Susi, Heli and I talked lots about TV shows, movies and computers. I fear that poor Andrea was quite bored :-/.

But the food was good and everything else was good too.

Apropos, Vienna. I'm going to Vienna tomorrow and will stay at liriel_'s place for a couple days. Yay. I'm so looking forward to that!
