So Indie. So Soft. So...Beautiful. CLOUD CULT.

Okay, so I love some things easily dismissed as "indie." But please, don't dismiss them just because they are label-able. Some fucking great things are label-able. Johnny Cash is "country," but he's amazing. Chocolate is "food" but it's still kick-ass. So give this a chance, if you can, all you people who must be so individual that "indie" is too conforming for you...

ANYWAY

HERE GOES

CLOUD CULT- great band from Midwest, with their song
CHEMICALS COLIDE,
off their 2007 album, "The Meaning of 8".
A new album by them is coming out in April 2008 that is going to be even better, from how it sounds, but this is the best clip I could find on Youtube to give you a taste of their well-recorded-glory.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND MY THOUGHTS:
Listen to these bands, in order, over and over:
Nine Inch Nails, Flaming Lips, Johnny Cash, Bjork, Modest Mouse, Jonathan Richman, Cloud Cult, Radiohead, The Shins, Talking Heads, Chemical Brothers, The Beatles. Then worry too much. There. Bingo.
