Hi Marcus! Long time no speak/see/hear and all that.

I had a few questions!

I was thinking of making this a dual-boot with WinXP... I'm not fond of Vista or 7, and you've always had good things to say about XP.

Really wanted to pick your brains about things like what kind of customisations are necessary/make it run cooler, if there's any known issues or anything I should be aware of before I do this, and generally, what you think is the best way I should go about it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Sup!

First up, get on Google Plus! I'm on there quite heavily now:

Also, I haven't used XP in so long I've probably forgotten most of it. However last time I used a hacked version of XP called Black XP, which had a lot of the useless stuff ripped out and some useful utils instead. That was from PirateBay. I also tried Tiny XP and Micro XP, they're also similar, very minimal versions. But some drivers wouldn't work, so YMMV.

Honestly, I'd say give Win7 a shot, it's the least crappy, fairly user-friendly version of Windows yet. Vista is garbage, but Win7 (especially Win7 Ultimate) is pretty nicely finished. I've had no problems with it so far after over a year.
