When you consider file sharing, bittorrent, the internet / broadband, crowdsourcing, and combine that with the idea of 3D printing, it boggles the mind where we may be headed with that technology. You know that lame-ass ad, "you wouldn't download a car?" Well, what if we really could? Or download and print out pretty much anything! It would be like having Makers as in Transmetropolitan, or one step away from those matter materializer thingies on Star Trek etc :)
