Spiderman #1 (1990) is 'vitally important'?

my ass it is

this list is shat

In general there is a profound confusion between 'vitally important superhero comics' and 'vitally important comics'

'comics' is about telling stories with pictures, it's an arguably bastard art-form, that is frequently misinterpreted to be exclusive with certain contents such as 'super-heroes'

Yeah, looks like it should read "vitally important superhero comics" instead.

Re: this list is shat
how is Spiderman #1 (1990) vitally important, even in superhero terms?

Well, comic book fanboys cum in their pants over any #1 of anything. I could do a comicstrip about a brand new, unheard of superhero taking a dump for 22 pages, give it a chromuim silver holographic gatefold cover or some shit, slap "ZOMG ISSUE NUMBER ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" on it and scores of fanboys will buy like three copies each and never open them.

I wonder how the media would have reported this if the guy looked like Michael Douglas in Falling Down, instead of one of the hillbillies in Deliverance.

And speaking of movies...if you've seen Office Space, you can understand the frustration.

I hear you. And Office Space rocks my socks. I have an Office Space-themed XP Bliss wallaper, you know, the default XP grassy hill desktop? Only with the three boys stomping the laser printer to death on said XP hill. I'll upload it when I get home :D
