7:51 pm - art project help
okay, for those who i'm friends with on facebook, you've probably already seen this. however, no one seems to be responding, and i really, really, really need the help.

my concepts photography class is devoted to one project that we have to work on for the entire semester, and is split up into three different critiques. our second critique is this monday and wednesday (mine's not until wednesday). my project is trying to focus on the connection between language and images. since so much of language is based on our own individual experiences of words (specifically words that don't refer to anything tangible, like love), how do we know if we are really communicating when we try to talk to each other, and how do certain words translate into visual imagery.

i don't know if this is making sense - i haven't given nearly this much information on the two things i posted on facebook/myspace, but anyway i have created a survey i'm asking everyone who might possibly read this to fill out and get back to me. either reply or email me at morenojm@vcu.edu. also, i apologize if the wording of the survey is unclear about what i'm trying to do; don't get too caught up on the word "define". if anyone actually does respond to this... thanks, you've helped me to not fail a class.

I am conducting a survey in an attempt to express abstract language through visual interpretation. Please define the following words as clearly as possible, drawing from your own experiences or memories if needed.

1. Love

2. Respect

3. Misery

4. Frustration

5. Youth
