Nextwave #7 preview

It's, um, Secret Six high on coke, I think. Funny, insane and explode-y. In my seldom humble opinion, the best Marvel title save for, obviously, Cable and Deadpool, which is also funny, insane and explode-y. I might have a type.

FELL #6 preview

I admit that I wasn't a big fan of Fell from the beginning, but it does grow on you. The premise is older than dirt: the worst part of town (a "feral city," in fact, a place where government and services enter seldom and always with care), a transferred cop, insane and interesting characters all around. Trite, right?

Except that Snowtown grows on you, quiet, sometimes almost empty, always creepy and failed and violent. This is a title of quiet mind-bending conversation, of urban scenes too dirty and stupid not to be true, of decay and chaos so pervasive that almost becomes system, right there in the edge of your preception.

If they made a TV show of this -and they could, the visuals aren't CGI expensive or anything-, if they did it faithfully, it would be the weirdest, most cynical and fucked up cop show in history. It'd be a cult hit and then be cancelled after four episodes, but it'd be great.
