Unbetaed Gotham tripe

When they let you out of Arkham they congratulate you. They say you are special because you survived one of the most dangerous jobs in the country, or maybe because you worked hard at your therapeutic process. I don't remember which one they said to me. I think I was a part of the staff, for I remember walking the long hallways at night, but maybe I wasn't. I think (we?) patients patrolled the asylum with (them?) us.

Out here the shadows are bigger, but I still can hear their whispers. I still can see them move at night.

Sometimes I drive to Arkham and look at the front door. It looks exactly the same that it did from the other side. Then I think I hear a laugh and I run away, but away is just deeper inside.

Ficlet: Prodigies (DCU, PG13)

My prose, she got purple overnight. Also, I love the idea. The execution - not so much. Feel free to redo it if you want to.

Title: Prodigies
Fandom: DCU
Rating: PG13
Summary: Nobody but them notices it. That's part of who they are.

It's not exactly a club. It's just something that happens.Collapse )

Ficlet: Overhead (PG13, DCU)

Title: Overhead
Rating: PG13
Fandom: DCU
Summary: Wayne Enterprises hires the best and brightest. That policy has some drawbacks.

Title:Peripheral Vision
Fandom: DC Comics
Prompt: Phrases #12: Out of sight, out of mind
Word Count: About 260

Title: A Gothic Scene, Ten AM
Summary: In some ways, going to school in Gotham is just like going to school anywhere else.
WARNINGS: Written in a weird pseudo-script format. It has no plot, no clearly recognizable characters, and... well, maybe no point. But it was in my head and wanted to get out.
Rating: PG13
Thanks to: katarik, who looked over this.

fic: Circus Night

You'd have written this, too. Not as head-hurty as the previous one, but it was an unavoidable coda.

Title: Circus night

Summary: The Flying Graysons are in town.
Author notes: AU. A sequel to The other side of the joke

It's circus night.Collapse )

And now a short if obvious observation about this universe.Collapse )
