I keep not writing what I want to write

Another unintended consequence:

The story says the fruit taught them their nakedness and instructed them in shame, and their father in anger sent them away.

The story is wrong.

The only knowledge the tree had kept was of death and time. As they realized there had never been a garden, their father wept for them.

Also, if I ever become a cosmic villain it'll probably go somewhat like this:

Since we cannot stop time
Let us end it.

I like it. Although the most moving reason for becoming a cosmic villain is to be found in the film THE QUARREL, which if you haven't seen, you really should. Two friends, an apostate secular Jew and a Rabbi meet after WWII, having fallen out before the war for complicated religious and family reasons. After their joy at finding each other still alive subsides, they resume their old argument about religion.

The key moment:

RABBI HERSH: ...I don't know. If I knew God, I'd be God. I can't say.
CHAIM: If I knew God, I would put him on trial.

Now, that's very interesting. I sort of agree with Chaim, although that would make one hell of an interesting legal analysis problem.
