Title: The hot equations
Fandom: DC Comics
Prompt: Ends Justify The Means
Rating: NC-17, just in case.
Summary: It'll even be funny.

I'm not insane. I know a shrink would say I'm reacting to my wife's murder, and maybe she'd be right, but I'm not insane. Neither I am needlessly bloodthirsty.

Not many people visit a one-man gay Joker impersonation act. Not many. Much less than the number he kills every time he escapes, and he always escapes. I know he will.

I know he'll come to kill me.

He will enter through the door, grinning and maybe saying a joke, and I will know that I'm about to die. And then I'll activate the explosives I've stashed around and we will all die. The public, him, me.

Do the math. I'm not insane.

Eminently reasonable! Too bad it's doomed to failure by Joker Immunity.

I think another sort of Oracle would engineer something like it.

Digression: You might recall a brief chat we had once about what a low-tech Oracle might be like (either 1940s or present day), operating by landline telephones and snailmail.

Behold then, Gail Simone's mastermind villain for the upcoming Secret Six ongoing (the mere existence of which, by the by, fills me with delight):

A new villain with ties to the DCU, the meanest, most murderous bastard ever. He controls the crime on the West coast in an empty basement with nothing but a phone and a notepad, and he lives in a trunk and has never been seen. Anyone who DOES see him dies brutally, on the spot.

There may be something wrong with me but I like this guy. *Lots*.
