Title: 121
Fandom: DC Comics
Prompt: #18, And if the answer is no / can I change your mind?
Word Count: A bit over a hundred.
Rating: PG13
Disclaimer: DC Comics owns all characters involved. Not that Oracle pays too much attention to things like that.
Summary: How can you test how strong is something, other than by trying to break it?
Author Notes: A sort of mash-up with A Better World, and a sequel to 172 and 793.

Soon, the Justice Lords cross the gulf between universes, to make for their counterparts the decision they will be too slow to make on their own. They have experience and surprise on their side.

They win, of course, only to lose everything at the end. It's Batman who takes them down.

You could almost think that it was his idea all along.

* * *

From a few universes away, Batman and Oracle discuss the question.

Interdimentional chess play of sorts? With alternate versions of themselves as pawns? I heartily aprove.

You have made me see that the Lords universe was really missing an oracle. It would have made everything scarier better.

Thanks! They are nothing if not logical (well, in their methods; their motivations can get very messy at times).
