And now that I'm spamming....

A few hours ago I watched again L&O: CI's Blind Spot. It had John Glover, so of course it was awesome, but... Geez. That scene at the end, Bobby and Jo talking?

That was perfect. Just - perfect. Smooth and low-key and just right, and the detail in what they said and how they said it...

Needlessly to say, Goren and Eames are my favorite pair of TV detectives *ever*. They'd solve the X-Files' entire plot in three episodes. If they were MiB, Kay would want their autographs. Hannibal Lecter has Bobby nightmares, and Eames would make Holmes stammer and hit him with his violin when he acted like a dick.

*fangirls, knows that he's fangirling, keeps doing it anyway*

PS: Every time I watch Criminal Minds and Hotch appears on screen, I think to myself 'so this is what happened to Greg after somebody murdered Dharma'. And then I hate myself for thinking that, but it just makes too much sense in my head. Take somebody like Greg, deeply in love with Dharma. Take her away and all of his intelligence and drive would remain, but with just the right parts of him dead to make him a Hotch.

Your PS ran a cold finger of truthfulness down my spine.

I know it's a crazy thing, but it has been my insane fanon since the first time I saw the show.

The weird thing is that I don't recall it ever conflicting with what shown in the screen.

You must chat with aj. It is her fandom and it would fill her with glee to have someone as bright as you to geek with. :D

Well, sure. It makes sense to me! His new wife is so nice, but it's hard for him to be at home sometimes, to be around her and their adorable, amazing little baby. He needs to work not only because work needs him, not only because he's the anchor for the brilliance and the passion of his teammates, not only to keep what happened to him from happening to anyone else--but because sometimes he walks through his back door and he resents that it's not Dharma he's coming home to. And he doesn't want Haley even to suspect what he's thinking.

*nods* There's a part of him -not all of him, not by a long shot- but there's a part of him that is still screaming silently about Dharma, the part that will never get over what happened. That's the part that takes over when he gets really scary.

And when he has those touches of humanity and kindness that seem to light him from inside, I like to think that he's thinking about what Dharma would say.

OMG YES! ♥

I am entirely too fond of this scenario.

Your PS is scary and wonderful.

I have a huge girl-crush on Eames. I mean, it's clear how wonderful Bobby is but sometimes it overshadows the fact that she's right there with him, making the leaps the same time he is. Also, she gets to be tough and physical too (love the take-down of the forger who's trying to buy a new laminator in the very first episode ["One"] and the shooting of one of the kidnappers in "Homo Homini Lupis").

Erbe has some devastating line deliveries, too. "You can go and do your little dance in hell" will always be a favorite.

Oooo, and how she physically steps in front of Bobby during one of their early (actually, it might be the very first) meetings with Nicole Wallace, when they still think she's Elizabeth and know nothing else about her.

Did I mention the girl-crush? *g*

It's entirely understandable! She's all sorts of awesome.

Ooh, have I seen that one? I'd like to think I'd remember seeing John Glover on Criminal Intent, but my memory sucks so bad, and I only watched that sporadically, so I don't know now.

Also, Goren rules the world. And Goren+Eames rule the galaxy. Why didn't I follow this show regularly?

I think it's one from the past season, but I'm not sure. I caught it on AXN last thursday, FWIW.

Goren & Eames are *so* the best detectives ever. When you see that Goren was trained by John Glover, didn't you just go, "Oh... well. Yeah, that would explain it." Every time Goren gets a little twitchy while he's thinking... goddamn. I *love* it. And when Eames calls him 'Bobby'? So. Much. Love.
