A matter of religious freedom

I'm supposed to work (among other days) on Wednesdays.

Comics are published on Wednesdays.

I'm not allowed to read comics at work.

As the contemporary wordsmith K. West so aptly expressed, what's the basis?

(And let's not get into the travesty of "you can't take November off for NaNoWriMo, whatever that is.")

Books! (Whale's Road Edition)

Borges y la Traducción (Borges and Translation), Sergio Waisman: A book that I was pretty much guaranteed to like. Borges is one of my favorite writers, partly because of much of a reader he was, and how much he loved language (and mirrors, and chess, and, to his discredit, swords), including the English language(s), a love that I share. This is a book about what Borges thought about translation, how he translated, and, in fact, how he stole, rewrote, and fan-ficced the hell out of everything he loved. What's not to like?
