cass, can you not

Comics! (People, Plots, and PWP Edition )

Awesome People

Jason Todd: He's teen!Bruce! Just, you know, more murderous. Othersideverse!Bruce now has an official unofficial comic. (Red Hood: Lost Days #3)

Isaac Newton: As long as you understand awesome as the greatest badass bastard in history (with the likely exception of Leonardo da Vinci), yes, he is. I'm irrationally but understandably fond of this book. Also, do not skip the letters in the back matter. (S.H.I.E.L.D. #3)

Brainiac 2: I know he's only a tenth-level intelligence, but he compensates it with meaness, guts, and knowing when to run. He's like an slightly evil and megalomaniacal version of Star-Lord. He gets things done. (R.E.B.E.L.S. #19)

Tim "I put those EMP bombs in there hours ago" Drake: Also, he's as sociable as Dick, although he's more prone to keep files on people. (Red Robin #15)

Overused People

Deadpool: The funniest thing in the whole issue were the tombs of the Avengers: there was a shield over Captain America's tomb, a hammer over Thor's... and a martini cup over Iron Man's. Oh, and the focus-stealing hamster in the cover collection at the back. (Deadpool #1000)

Zombies: (Marvel Universe vs The Punisher #1)

Zombie Deadpool

Angry Chinese Ambassador to the UN (Secret Warriors #18)

Overused Plots

Frank Castle kills everybody in the Marvel Universe (Marvel Universe vs The Punisher #1)

Let's put them in the Far West! (Secret Six #24)

Good guy kills bad guy means good guy has gone bad, randomly aggressive, and has lost his uncanny skill for telling whether he's being lied to or not (Shadowland #2)

Everything is different in this universe, but unexplainably, the Kents *still* get to raise Kal-El! (Superman: The Last Family of Krypton #1)

"Superhumans Destroy The World" PWP (Supergod #4)

"People are crazy and mean, but no-one is as crazy and mean as Bullseye" PWP (Shadowland Bullseye #1)
