Science!

(no subject)

Yesterday elffromspace and her brother came down and we got together for dinner and a bit of shopping. Dinner was tasty sushi with horrible service. Shopping was Best Buy, apparently several Best Buy stores are doing away with their anime section so what they have left (at those select stores) is half price. I picked up the first four volumes of Hellsing Ultimate for 8 bucks a piece. I also got some cds but not the one I was looking for. It makes me feel good to buy actual physical media. I'm not a big fan of the itunes digital revolution. 1)I don't like mac 2)I would like to keep my music if my computer crashes and 3)I like to be able to have it, to hold something that is real.

Elf also helped me pick out a new camera. The flash on my 5 year old, 4 megapixel Nikon crapped out when I was in Wisconsin. I took this as a sign to buy a new camera. I ended up with a Canon powershot something or other. I think it has 8 megapixels and honestly, I don't really want anything more than that. I'm not sure I really want 8. When the megapixels get that high I really can't tell the difference. I started fiddeling with it last night and I think it's too much camera for me. It has all these features that I don't know anything about. I guess I'll actually have to sit down and *read* the manual. I was planning on doing that anyway but it appears to be a necessity before I can actually *use* the camera.

Oh! Happy Birthday r_eventide! I'm pretty sure it is coming up soon or I just missed it. As soon as I find the thing with your address I'll be mailing out your present. Or maybe I'll be lazy (again) and you'll get it at Incon.
