I am exhausted. There isn't anything like an anime con to make you (well, me) feel old. I will keep going to cons for as long as I can but I am feeling the abuse I put my body through much more than a few years ago. It also doesn't help that when I first started attending them the median age was probably around 20. Now I am surrounded by 16 year olds. So as I've gotten older, they've been getting younger. It's like aging twice as fast. Though that's mostly an anime convention thing, I haven't noticed that at the sci-fi or gaming cons I've gone to.
I didn't manage to wear my steampunk demon hunter outfit for a variety of reasons, however I did wear three all new costumes, well four if you count my lazy steampunk compilation Friday night. I did Dr. Insano, Mechakara, and the Joker. Dr. Insano and Mechakara are from Atop the Fourth Wall a web series on thatguywiththeglasses.com. Though Insano is actually more in Sponny's videos on Spoonyexeriment.com, specifically his final fantasy reviews.
I guess my theme this year was popular but obscure. Not many people recognized Mechakara but the ones that did were really excited. Oh, and I actually remembered to take pictures of my own costumes this year! I might even post them.
Anyway, it's not even 10:00 but I'm going to go crawl into bed. I was offered a temp job last week and I start Monday. At 8:30. 8:30 in the morning. I'm glad I finally got a job, but starting up the Monday after con isn't exactly, ideal. Though I am lucky that Monday is OSHA training, my normal shift will start at 7:30. *sigh* I mean, "yay job!"
So. Sleep now.
