My car was due for an oil change. Due as in, get it done in the next 50 miles or you void the warranty. Seeing as how my round trip commute to work is not quite 50 miles I had to make an appointment for Saturday. The dealership only had an opening at 8:30 am on Saturday, I guess that's what I get for waiting until Friday afternoon to schedule. Gah! I hate mornings, my sleep in day became a wake-up-extra-early day. It all turned out well in the end.
Let me just say that I love my dealership. I bought a Toyota Camry (I &hearts my Camry) back in August after my old car was totaled. They were the only dealership I went to that actually showed me cars in the range I told them I was wiling to pay, everyone else tried to push me out of my comfort range. Anyway, one of the reasons I had put off the oil change was that I was looking for a coupon they mailed me but I must have tossed it by accident with some junk mail. When I went in for the service I mentioned losing the coupon to the guy at the counter. He told me that he might have a spare in a folder, lo and behold, coupon! &hearts my Toyota dealership, they have been courteous, helpful, and actual people.
I brought along a book my cousins had loaned out to me, World War Z. On my way home I stopped by the grocery store and picked up stuff to make lunch (and lunches for the week hopefully). Then I got home and finished the book. All before noon!
Then I tried to take a nap. Alas, no success there. *grumble* *grumble*
So I made myself lunch and popped in the first disk of Dexter. So I've been watching Dexter since then. It looks like Amazon.com is going to be getting a portion of my paycheck next Friday for I will have a mighty need for season 2 and perhaps a pre-order for season 3. Ah, Amazon, you have so much of my money. It is almost like a geek tax where they take out a percentage of my paycheck but instead of "government and infrastructure" I get entertainment in the form or DVD, CD, or book.
