I got into Harvard.
I got into Harvard.
I got into Harvard.
I got into Harvard.
I got into Harvard.

I'm going to live on the EAST COAST!

Nothing you say before "but" matters.

Well . . . I never use this thing and it feels pretentious to mention this on facebook or something, but I was nominated for a Design Excellence Award this semester. I worked really hard. I pretty much fell in love with Charles. My professors seriously changed everything I felt about landscape architecture. I got an A+ in my studio. AN A+! So crazy. Charles offered me a job after I graduate. Well, down the road - like 15 years down the road. Hopefully, by then I will have the gumption to apply to his firm. It's weird looking at blogs and seeing his projects pop up. He's in my text books! He left for Seattle on Wednesday. He didn't see my final design board. I was motivated by him this semester. Him and Harvard. Reach for star and land on a cloud, eh?

Remember this. [Wed Sep 2010 at 6:46pm]
The one architect I've looked up to complimented me. HE COMPLIMENTED ME.
This is the guy I want to be when I grow up.
This guy is in my textbooks and now he's my effing teacher.
It was perfect. This felt better than getting into the program.
It was the best thing to happen since making it in.
I was the example. The this-is-what-to-do person. It was perfect.
I was smiling like an idiot. Best. Day. Ever.

Big News for me [Tue Jun 2009 at 12:09pm]
So, I've been in ASU's architecture program for the last two semesters.
It was seriously the hardest thing I've EVER done.
I had to complete two semesters in the pre-architectural program before I was even CONSIDERED for ASU's bachelor's program.
I slept regularly for maybe two days out of a week and hardly ever went a weekend without staying up for at least two days straight. I also lost feeling in the tips of fingers for a weeks at a time. LOL

Only 80 students were going to be accepted into the second year.
50 students would be accepted into Architecture
and 30 would be accepted into Landscape Architecture.
I applied to Landscape Architecture.

The program started with between 400 and 500 students.
Only 230 went on to the second semester.

I was just chosen for ASU's Landscape Architecture Program.
30 out of 230 which started at 400 something people. HOLY SHIT.

This is the biggest thing I've ever accomplished.

hi - you need flea treatment [Mon Jun 2009 at 1:00am]
I haven't made a public or friend post since April. I've been writing - privately. I didn't realize how private I've been and how private I think I'm simply becoming - even in person. Privacy sounds so secretive, so I guess seclusive is the more appropriate word. I don't know what has been happening since April. I'm too nervous to be writing just now. I'm going to get a glass of water. I didn't spell check.
