Christ I just got scared! I'm still shaking. I was out in the backyard using my telescope and watching the moon (it was stunning again) and it was very dark so I couldn't really see anything. Our house is basically in front of a small wood and there are no lightsources on the backside of the house. Anyway, there were bats flying all over and some of them were swooping right past my head but I don't fear them so I didn't mind.

But all of a sudden there was this sound of twigs breaking and something moving in the bushes near me. And the sound kept getting louder and I could hear something was coming straight at me. And then I could hear panting and was sure it was an animal. And then the thing fucking growled at me and I just ran inside as fast as I could. Before I left, the animal was right in front of me but I couldn't see anything. Scary... I wonder what it was? How did the stupid thing get so close to our house!?

I wonder what it was? A fox? I don't think so, it sounded bigger. A stray dog? Hmm, I don't know, never saw/heard of them moving around where I live. I have seen a raccoon dog a couple times while I still lived at home. Once it came and drank the sour milk we left for the hedgehog. But would such a small animal make a noise like that and growl at me? Well, I'm definitely not stepping outside tonight, that's for sure!

Is it just my imagination or are people leaving LJ for GreatestJournal, DeadJournal etc? What if I lose everyone? I mean I love my flist and all the people in fandom communities and don't want to be separated from them :(

My tongue feels nasty because I burned it with fishsoup I had for lunch at Segel today :( Anyway, Anu is coming over from Alavus tomorrow and we plan to get drunk and enjoy the last day of Kotkan Meripäivät. Should be fun but I also wanna go and buy Deathly Hallows and stay at home and read it all night. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait till next Monday.

I've been struck with total and complete Potter mania :) I even visited a Finnish HP forum called Vuotava noidankattila, and I usually hate that place. Haven't been there in ages. It's a place filled with Finnish Potter fanatics. They're a scary bunch. It seems that nothing is never ever good enough for them. I love Harry Potter dearly and the books have a very special place in my heart but I'll never understand people who complain about charaters being ruined in the movies because of wrong eye color etc. But that's just me. Anyway, I realized I don't know any of the character's/places' Finnish names because I've never even touched a translated Potter. I mean, we get the translations in subtitles in the movies but I never read them. So I only know a couple names.

Anyway, I was kinda bored tonight and so very excited about DH that I decided to take some screencaps from my Telesync copy of the new movie. You can use them for icons or whatever you like. I'll make the post public in case someone outside my flist is in need of screencaps.

I have a favor to ask from you guys. I don't know if I've mentioned this already but I've recently begun to restore my collection of MLP toys to their former glory. I aim to become a collector, you see.

So, if anyone still has their My Little Pony toys and is willing to part with a pony or two, I'd be happy to pay good money for them. I would of course pay for any shipping costs as well. The ponies would definitely get a good home :)

Sweet. I'm so happy it's weekend. There's no screaming kids around, no dirty diapers, no children's books to read, no annoying sounds from Legos, little cars, blocks etc., no stubborn twins refusing to eat, to get dressed, to go out. No kindergarten stuff, period! :D Don't get me wrong, I love my job but I wouldn't be able to do it without weekends.

I woke up a little past 7 am today. I wish I could sleep longer but I'm used to getting up at 6 am, so... I spent the morning with my mom. We went shopping and I bought two pairs of earrings from Glitter. These cute, neon pink hearts with little diamonds and a pair of little, shimmery cherries. I also bought a skirt, two wooden frames and a lovely book about fairies. It's called Keijukaisten lähteillä. It's 200 pages and has pretty much everything you'd ever wanna know about fairies. With lots of beautiful pictures. The book is just filled with famous fairy paintings and illustrations from children's books.



Anyways, who's excited about the new film by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez? I AM! I can't wait for Grindhouse! Have you seen the trailers? The movie looks freaking amazing. I'm gonna order one of the movie posters because it's wicked cool. It'll complete my collection of Tarantino movie posters. I already have the Pulp Fiction one and two Kill Bill posters.

My boss made me take a sick day so here I am, bored out of my mind and crying about the day's earnings I'm missing. But I guess it's wise to take it easy so I'll be healthy next week. I've been going to work all week even though I've had slight fever almost every night after work. I'm not sick enough to stay in bed all day but I'm also not healthy enough to do stuff.

Lost was great this week. I'm a Claire fangirl so, yay! Plus there was pretty Desmond with his shirt half unbuttoned. ( Lost s.3.ep.12 )

I'm so happy it's spring! It's April soon! And summer, oh how I miss summer! I've told you before that my geckos are out of control because of spring but they keep getting wilder every day. I put on the lights in their terrarium at 6 am so, they used to wake up around 6 pm. But this week they're already up when I get home from work after 4 pm. The younger one, Miss Aino, is already leaning against the doors and waiting for me to let her out when I step in the room. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to say this. One of my cousins has become a hard core communist! :D She supports SKP (Finland's Communist Party) because Vasemmistoliitto is too lame for her. I myself, together with my brother, am a socialist. But I don't go on one man demonstrations or walk up to strange people in the bar and start to preach about the crappy world we live in, the harms of capitalism or diss Bush and America etc. That's what she does these days.

I think it's all because of this activist guy she's been going out with. It's funny because she never cared about politics before and probably didn't even know what parties we have here in Finland. And she's from quite a rich family, they're definitely wealthier than our family, and now she's going around the town telling everyone how she's from a working class family.
Yeah right! And she's never done real physical labour, actually, she's harldy had to work. The work she's done is sit at the office of my aunt's firm and play computer solitary and answer the phone.

We did once share a job as cleaners at this fair but during that month she was constantly sick and always had some excuse for not showing up and I ended up doing her share of work. I'm still pissed about that because in the end we had to split the money we had earned. She got 50% even though I did 70% of the work! But her mom was our second employer so she made sure her daughter got the money. It was SO unfair! Työnantaja kusettaa aina! :D No ei sentään, mutta senkin olen kokenut. Muuten mulla on ollut hyviä työnantajia. I've had eight different employers and only two of them have been bastards like that. And I love my current boss! She's great.

Anyways, last weekend my brother met my cousin in a pub. She came to sit at his table and started to preach to his friends about Bush and capitalism, and how she's always had a hard time because she's from that infamous working class family. In the end my brother was so fed up with her that he opened his mouth and told everyone the truth about her actually being from a rich family and her non-existent work experience. That made her cry and leave the table but my brother sure as hell wasn't feeling sorry for her. I mean, she's just so fake and over the top!
