Well David and Ronnie are coming over later today. Ronnie is up to "Heart" in watching Supernatural, which I think David will enjoy. At least the Sam and Madison scenes anyway. I mean his favourite BtVS scene is the Buffy and Spike against a wall, with the building disintergrating round them. So this should be just his cup of tea.
Which got me thinking about the love scenes with Sam, and the others with Dean. JA just doesn't seem to put any effort into them. He kind of just stands there. The most aminated he got was hugging Sam in "All Hell Breaks Loose Part II". Yeah I know that JP and JA get on very well (any wonder I read RPS with the two of them), but in the programme he is a little....unamimated. Maybe that is just me then!
Then I do like JP's body type. Long limbs and hands, and very slim. Micheal was like that, he was 6' 4" and as did an exboyfriend who was 6' 9". So that might just be what I go for!

Oh dear goodness, if the JA fans heard you saying this it could start a flame war of epic proportions LOL They're like rabid dogs that lot, they make the Who comms on LJ look like a playground!
But I happen to agree with you. His acting is often so very subtle that it comes across sometimes as extremely inanimate.
I completely agree. I think that on most days JA is the better actor and has been from the start. I can only guess he must be very uncomfortable doing those scenes and it really comes through. This is one area where JP does shine, he always seems to put a lot into it.
I think they are both good actors, and that is what makes the series work. In the gag reels, JA seems more comfortable being "sexy" for the fans, while JP seems to send himself up when doing them. But when it comes to doing the scenes on the programme, JP does put himself into it. Really touchy feely with his co-actors!
It's funny because I feel the exact oppostie. When I compare JA's love scene in "Route 666" to JP's love scene in "Heart" I think that JA's is much better. One of the main reasons being that JA, you can see, is a much better kisser. There's a lot of passion there. Whereas JP does a sort of pecking thing. And that's ok for teens and tweens but it's a little off putting for a 20 something sex symbol. And JA seemed to have some really good "motion" going in his scene. Whereas with JP, there was a lot of flopping around and pecking but not much actual "motion". Not that I didn't really really enjoy the nice shots of JP's body because yeah it's definitely much better than JA's. With all that being said, I am in no WAY, SHAPE OR FORM complaining in any way about love scenes with either of the pretty boys :D
I am totally the opposite. JA just stands there, hands hanging limply at his sides, and a gimmance on his face in either kisses and hugs. JP puts his whole body in it, and is not frightened to touch his co actors. Oh Well!
