Dr Who 4.01
This was just silly! I would've enjoyed it as a bit of cracktastic fun, if I was not still reeling from Torchwood last night!

After a series of missed opportunities, the Dr and Donna finally get together, and solve the Mystery of the Disappearing fat. As the sinster Nanny, Foster, goes of to fufil her mission and collect fat babies, The Doctor and Donna finally save the Million people taking the fat pills. Then Donna goes off with The Doctor, agreeing they will just be mates, after a bit of misunderstanding, the realise they both mean friends.

Rose turns up, and to be honest, I am not a Rose fan. Could've done without that, cos no angst from me, just get rid of her! And now how will Donna's mother find the car keys!

I thought it was ok, not a particularly strong start to the series, but first episodes very rarely are.

I loved Rose's appearance, but I'm quite a fan.

Wasn't so keen on the Torchwood finale - it was good, but not amazing. Good to have James Marsters back, of course, particularly since it's looking like he'll be back more - with the mass death, could he become a regular? Hope so!

No it was not played for strength at all as an opening episode. I guess all it did was get The Doctor and Donna back together!

Saying nothing about Rose

I loved Tosh on Torchwood, and was warming to Owen. I think they will be sadly missed. I guess they could bring John (or Martha) is as regulars, but will wait and see

True, it reunited them quite well, it was rather funny too. But that's about it!

Yeah I was very fond of those two characters as well, they were also the only two who didn't really brown-nose Jack the entire time, which was nice. Hadn't thought of bringing Martha back, but that'd be a good one - Earth based, and they need a new surgeon/medic. I think they need John too, but I don't know what he'd do, probably a similar sort of role to Ianto, ie nothing really.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. And hope, too.

I think Martha would be good! I would hate them to waste James' talent in a role like Ianto. They don't seem to know what to do with Ianto, and another male running round making puppy eyes at Jack, while cleaning his guns would be too much. If they can have John adding something too the pot, then great. As another Ianto, No!

LOL! Totally!

I haven't been following Torchwood at all, but I caught the one last night. Meep.

Very silly! Still I guess good for younger audiences!

I really liked Tosh, and was sad to see her go!

Dr Who was silly fun, though I'm not sure the implied "fat people are stupid and gullible" was to my taste. Don't like Donna much but she was better than in the Christmas special. Bernard Cribbins was a bit gratuitous I felt. Just carm another minor star in - I hate the front cover of the current Radio Times with its emphasis on DW and stars.

Was a touch over done!

I never like how people called Donna are protrayed on the media. Then that is a personal thing.

I didn't buy the Radio Times this week, just going to check the listings on the computer!

It's a name that seems to be used as a sterotypical shortcut, isn't it? So unfair. (And you are so unlike the Catherine Tate character!)

If it's any consolation, I once knew a housemaster at Eton with two daughters called Dawn and Tracey!

Very much so, then people go by names too much in the UK I suspect. They use it in the wrong ways. From trying to decide what religion you are, to other personal agendas

Just finished watching DW.

I love the cracktastik fun. Much needed. I'm starting to like Donna. i wasn't too fond of her in the christmas ep. I thisk that she and David have a great comedy chemestry togheter.

On the Rose thing. I'm actually a bit exited about it. Mostly because I want to see how the Doctor reacts to seeing her again.

I didn't see the Christmas episode with her in it! I thought she might be fun, and finally get us away from all the companions falling in love with the Doctor.

Still not keen on Rose!
