Setting During Season Five
Summary Gunn and Wesley spent some quality time together. Someone decides to join in the fun.


Gunn moved the wine from his table, refilling Wesley's glass. Since they had admitted they had feelings for each other, and took the step of becoming lovers, Gunn felt even more protective of the bookish Watcher than he had when they were still finding their way at AI. They may have given him a mental upgrade to become W&H's head lawyer, but he hadn't changed that much. The urge to look out for the person he had feelings for never left him.

As Gunn observed Wesley sip the wine, he put on a Gilbert and Sullivan opera, "Three Little Maids from School Are We" played around the apartment. Wesley was the only one he felt comfortable knowing his new interest in operas. After all, even before the up-grade, Gunn had been the one to enjoy the ballet the most. Wesley had once said that he found this no surprise. Beneath Gunn's streetwise persona, a cultured man was looking to come out, and Wesley was delighted that Gunn now had his chance to prove he was more than muscle.

As the night progressed, they began to slip off their clothes in the warm apartment. Both Gunn and Wesley were staying at the guest rooms on the penthouse floor of W&H, ready for an early meeting. Angel hadn't even raised an eyebrow, while Fred had a secretive smile on her face as he agreed that yes, it made sense for them to share a room.
