Current mood: hurried

I am alive and kicking!
I feel guilty that I'm not updating regularly.

I should consider changing my username to busybody because that's who I am.

I went to get an eye exam on Saturday and the optometrist asked how long I wear my contacts everyday. "I put them on at 7:30am and don't remove them usually until 10:30pm. So that's about 15 hrs a day."

My eyes have alarmingly gotten worse again. She advises wearing contacts for a shorter length of time.

I know. But this is what my schedule's like asides from working:

Monday:
Tentative (usually catching up on the laundry I didn't do over the weekend and taking a breather from a busy weekend)

Tuesday:
Mandarin class 6:30-9ish, dinner afterwards

Wednesday:
Tentative (usually catching up with friends)

Thursday:
Cheer at Ed's basketball games @ 7:30/8:30 or happyhr or hangout with girls

Friday:
Commencing last Friday - 7:30 ballroom classes in preparation for Stella's wedding.

Work continues to be busy as ever. I enjoy working with everyone around me and there's always new obstacles to overcome, more heart-throbbing to experience, new revelations to uncover, and something new to spice up a calm morning while I sit at my desk, rummaging through all the emails I mark as "unread" because there is no end in sight for incoming email. Nothing starts my morning off better than simultaneously sipping yinyang (me and kitty's favorite mixture of coffee and hong kong style milk tea with a tad of condensed milk) with my right hand, and stuffing my face with soft sheng kee raisin bread with my left hand.

On this Monday evening, I productively spent it finishing my taxes and doing the laundry I didn't get to over the weekend. I feel even better because I updated!

Now I must rush off to bed and and finish the library book I've been holding onto since January. It's Haruki Murikami's Norwegian Wood. The days leave me so exhausted I can't keep my eyes open for more than two pages before I drift off to dreamland.

Hooray for longer days!! I love it when I step out after work to find the sun still waiting to greet me. Feels like there's so much more to do and look forward to when the sky is still awake.

do you wear soft or hard contacts? i hear hard contacts slow them down immensely (which is why i use them). not staring at a computer screen helps too and gazing at the grassy green fields is good for the eyes(i kid you not)

I've actually always used soft contact because I heard hard ones are rather uncomfortable? What do you think? Are hard contacts permanent lenses? I have a pretty bad case of astigmatism in one eye. Staring at the computer too much must be the reason my eyes are being adversely affected. I have a tendency to stare for hours without realizing it during work. I think I'll start putting ticklers to remind me to get up, walk around and stare at some grassy greens :)
