You probably have already seen these, since I kind of crossposted them to death. But uh, in case you haven't seen them yet or just want to re-read for some reason, here they are. Lately I've been watching S2 of Lost -- which has been pretty incredible, much to my surprise; I came into this fandom kicking and screaming, but man, I'm there -- and that merits its own post. But not tonight. Tonight I'm posting about how, at long last, I got to watch the S2 season finale of BSG!

I've noticed that a fair few of you are artist/icon/header makers. Oh I bow to the higher power.

So I have a request in the form of a challenge. I would like those of you who are not as artistly challenged as myself (I don't even have Photoshop) to make the comm a header and default icon.

Requirements

-You must enter at least 1 header and 1 icon. (I'm limiting it to 3 entries per person.)

-The header must be 650x300
-The icon must be 100x100 and smaller then 40kb
-Obviously the must contain both Harvey and the Joker. 

Extras

Not necessary but if you could make mod icons for

bathshua and myself, I would be eternally grateful.

I reread my ds_match fic draft -- the last half of which was written in a state of massive sleep deprivation -- and discovered that: a) I am not entirely displeased with the way I've written the POV character, BUT b) the characterization of the other half of the pairing is so far off in places as to be almost unrecognizable. Oh, dear. Oh dear, oh dear. Thank god I have another six days to fix it. Oy.

Don't forget - submissions for Challenge 002 are due by tomorrow! We have some lovely entries, but we could definitely use some more. :)

...to start the dishwasher running before I've thoroughly reread our pickling cookbook. There are at least five recipes I want to try; I should be sterilizing way more jars!

• on the way home from the trail sunday, i saw this thing on the side of the road that looked like a tree stump. when i got closer, i realized it was a hawk. so i crept up really quietly and just watched it. it watched me back and then flew up into the air. so beautiful!
  
• work has been extra crazy lately and it's making me feel so exhausted.
  
• after searching for months, i finally found out what i did with my copy of the bourne identity. turns out that if would've actually tried opening my file cabinets at work, i would've found it. i'd started it earlier this year but was able to pick it back up where i stopped without going back. last time i tried to read it, i found it hard to slog though but now it's going by fast. guess i'm in the mood for government conspiracies and spies.
  
• vicinity made me write the suite life of zack and cody slash and somehow it turned into a high school musical crossover. this just proves that she's evil. you can read it over yonder.
  
• i'm now writing a crazy entourage au where eric stayed behind in nyc and became a ruthless businessman while vince went to la and lost his mind. or something. i'm four pages in and so far it's all about eric's love of designer clothes and cock.
  
• my stomach has been hurting for days and i don't know why.

Anyway, while those here are considered being from South Africa, I'm not sure if that's really the whole truth, since none of them actually has ever seen South Africa. They are all born within the borders of a zoo. And they sure seem to have fun.

And since I missed it last weekend: Congratulations are in order for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi who "just" tied the knot. I'm so happy for the both of them.

Hey all. I've been debating things lately, and the way that my life is beginning to turn, I no longer have time for livejournal anymore. I won't be on here anymore, So I need someone to take over as mod for this place!

The only two requirements I would ask for is 1. You have to be a posting member that was accepted in and 2. I would prefer someone w/ at least some experience of running a community. I'll be pretty much off constantly starting next week, so I would REALLY like to fill this ASAP.
