So...I'm a book whore.
I like just to look at my books...The collection is VERY important to me...My house burned down when I was a junior in high school, and I had like...3 times the books I have now. They were all lost, and besides my dogs (of course) that was the biggest loss. Anyone have any books (especially thriller/suspense) they are getting rid of, send my way. They get in my clutches, and never go anywhere else. :) One day I want floor to ceiling bookshelves...and one of those nifty ladders. Yeah. It's quarter to four in the morning, and here I am...photoshopping three different pics of my bookshelf together. Lame.

I just can't keep up with this whole blog thing...I used to be really good at it. I think that when I'm sad/pissed off, it's a lot easier to keep a journal going...When I'm happy, I don't need it. Wow. Captain Obvious. Anyway...I'm still alive, in case anyone was wondering. I've been reading a lot lately..."Desperation", "Bag of Bones", "Salem's Lot"...I have been on a Stephen King kick for pretty much my whole reading career, but lately it has been condensed into about three months of nothing but his novels. I love it...I can pick out little connections in the books...Stuff he talks about often in his novels, things like that...Background characters that make it into 2 or more books...blah blah blah. I've just started in on "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" right now...I ran out of King. Should have it finished by Saturday, since I have the next two days of work off. Also saw a really good movie..."Derailed." Yeah...Jennifer Aniston. I wish she hadn't played for ten years (or whatever) on Friends...Cuz now I have a hard time with her playing other characters, even though I wasn't a Friends fanatic. Another good flick of hers is "The Good Girl". Must see. Jake Gyllenhaal! (sp?)
So now that you've wasted three minutes of your life reading about what books I've been reading, you can return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Well, we went to the pig rescue place....I had a hard time choosing which pig I was going to take home with me!! I walked into the "pig room" (as the chickadee who ran the joint calls it) and was overwhelmed! All the pigs were soooo cute. All so happy and healthy looking. I saw some of the biggest guinea pigs I have ever seen. :) Oh, and can't forget to mention Paige, the founder of the rescue's boxer mix, who is just the sweetest dog EVER! Anyway...when I saw Jonathon in real life, I really fell in love with him. I kinda knew the whole time I was looking at all the other ones that I was going to get him. Picasso though, the salmon-y weird lookin' one was VERY beautiful in pig-son...;) So, I got Jonathon, filled out paperwork that says if I am ever unable to take care of him, they will take him back...NEVER give him away to anyone else, and don't donate him to laboratory research...As if I would! I'm in love! :)

I get yelled at for not journaling enough. It's not my fault! I really love to do it, but then I find other things on the internet to do.
I am getting a raise, so that's a plus. A whole QUARTER! WOOT! So, after working 4 hours, I will get one more dollar on my check! That equals out to be about...7 dollars a check increase. That's hot. Also...Valentine's Day is coming up, and I have no idea what to do for it! I want to cook for Matt...and have a really fancy dinner waiting for him when he gets home...but...I don't know how to cook very well. I am thinking something with shrimp and pasta...or salmon...I don't know...If anyone has any good suggestions for easy recipes, that'd be awesome! If not easy, at least have clear and concise directions...Check out this awesome forum!

Hey there! I never update my journals..I really should start...I should also be sleeping right now. It's ten to five in the a.m. and this ho works at 4 p.m. I can't sleep! Ahh! So...I went to the bar last night, and it was CRAZY times...Firehouse (local dance club) is the biggest fucking meat market ever! I don't think I shall ever return. In other news...Oh wait...There is no more news. Nah...*L* My life is going really well, and all I could ask for is a better job. My boyfriend is AMAZING still. The novelty hasn't worn off yet. I really hope it doesn't.

First of all, here is something very cool.
Second of all, I got traumatized last night. Matt and I went to hang out with his co-worker and his girlfriend, and we were gonna drink. So, on the car ride over to their place, Robb, the co-worker, was already talking about how "sexually active" and "open" they were about their sex life. Let's just say that the warning bells were already going off. We get there, and we aren't there but TEN MINUTES before they are calling us into their bedroom to show us the ropes they had affixed to their head and foot boards. Alright, a little freaky is cool...even the ropes were pretty...tantalizing...but, I just met these people! 15 minutes before this, I had no clue who they were. Turns out, they're SWINGERS. Whatever floats your boat man, but suddenly I felt like we were being interviewed. It was pretty awkward. We were NOT interested in doing anything sexual with them. Let's paint a picture of these two. Robb, who Matt works with, has REALLY red hair, is scrawny, and has a strange tint to his skin...He's also a reformed heroin addict. He's 33 years old, and his girlfriend is 23. Speaking of her...Her name is Sandy, and she is one of those bottom heavy girls? You know the kind...VERY pear shaped? Like I said, she's 23, and her favorite band of all time is Def Leppard. She is a reformed meth head. She coulda been cool, but her personality just...SUCKED. *sighs*
Needless to say, they were not getting any swinger action from us any time soon. So, the creepiness continued on in full force when Sandy's mom came out of the bedroom and started talking to me about her RIDING CROP. The other topics of discussion were the nipple clamps in the freezer, and the cat 'o nine tails under the bed. This woman had to be about 55 years old. Dang. So, that was my night in a nutshell. I felt like I was going to be dragged down into the dungeon at any given moment. *twitches a little*
