This tutorial will teach you the proper way to credit icons on LiveJournal.com.

1. After you've saved a cute icon and decided to add it to your livejournal, go to Manage Userpics.

2. Hit 'Browse' and select your icon.

3. In the 'Keywords' area, type something that will aid you in remember this icon. When you add a new entry/comment, you will have a drop down menu with the Keywords of your icons to choose from. Something simple yet on topic helps. This is public.

4. In the comment slot, put the following:

<lj user="twentynine_">

If the icon did not come from twentynine_, subsitute this username for another. This is also public.

A: NO! That code usually works with both of those journal sites, but it works on their website. So, if you input that code with this username, the person who owns the username on that journal site will be linked. Instead, type something like twentynine_@lj.
