The Wild West Wing
Watched the first three episodes of 'Deadwood' last night and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. Anyone who's read Larry Mc Murtry's stunning Westerns will know what to expect; bad people doing extraordinarily bad things while good people keep their heads down. Ian MacShane is the watery-eyed son of a bitch psychopath bar owner who says things like "Don't forget to tell Bill to kill Tim" in the same tone we would use for "I'm off to the shops" and the rest of the cast back him up with style (especially nice to see Keith Carradine). It's knockout stuff.
