WHY, THAT'S DELIGHTFUL! - May 18th, 2007
Graham Linehan's Hompendium of Dorithies.
"Yes, it probably would be in the newspapers."
John Stewart on Gonzales, and on top form.
Hitchens dances on Falwell's grave
Christopher Hitchens had me and then he lost me. I used to love him and then he became one of these oxymorons; a left-winger who somehow believed that Iraq was safe in the hands of the most right-wing American administration in living memory. But he still has his moments. Here he is, telling like it is. (He possibly should have avoided the whole 'chubby flanks' area, but never mind).

Wolfy quits!
Pow! Gonzales next.
Why did we all hate school?
Ken Robinson's stunning talk on creativity and education. I wonder how many people will read as far as this sentence, let alone click on the link.

It's great, though. Unplug the phone and soak it up.

Side note: I'm hugely proud that they named a gathering of intellectuals after 'Father Ted'. Why didn't anyone tell me?
Monica Goodling Explained
This is old, but it's extraordinary. I had to post it.

Bill Maher reveals where Bush recruits his incompetent, criminal staff.

And how about this little tidbit from Goodling's Wikipedia entry?

"On May 7, 2007, National Journal's Inside Washington column reported that it was Monica Goodling who ordered drapes to be placed over the partially nude Art Deco statues 'Spirit of Justice' in the Justice Department's Great Hall during Ashcroft's tenure as Attorney General. At the time, the department spent $8,000 of taxpayers' money on blue drapes to hide the two giant, aluminum statues, according to spokesman Shane Hix. The coverings were removed in 2005."
