Colbert and a politician named Robert Wexler spiced up an interview brilliantly by indulging in a bit of horseplay. it's a very funny idea, executed nicely by a clearly delighted Colbert and Wexler, who, on the evidence of this, is a politician with a truly great sense of humour.

What happened next is depressing and predictable. But Colbert doesn't pause a second before he hits it out of the park once again.
