WHY, THAT'S DELIGHTFUL! - March 4th, 2005
Graham Linehan's Hompendium of Dorithies.
Welcome The Hell
I'm going to use this primarily to alert friends to things I'm grooving on at the moment, as I don't think anyone enjoys getting round robin e-mails. Apologies for the lack of site design and so on. I'm a doof when it comes to all this new, supposedly super-intuitive software. I'm not even sure what will happen when I press 'Update Journal'. I'm hoping it will update my journal, but I'm not getting too excited.
Whumpty
The Arcade Fire's debut is out and it's phenomenal. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006ZRX86/202-2485091-7195818). They give me that Pixies shiver.
Underground Oscar
The Oscars honored some of my favorite things this year. Best Screenplay went to The Most Romantic Film Ever Made, 'Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind', and Best Adapted Screenplay went to 'Sideways'. I often think the best screenplay award is given to what is in actual fact the best film of the year.
Obviously, I don't think about the Oscars that much because, well, I'm going to die some day and I really can't afford to waste any more time, but they also led me to this short film (which didn't win) and this animated short (which did).

'Ryan' has an unpleasant opening but it goes on to be very, very touching.
Modern Life
It has its ups and downs. This is an 'up'.

And crank that volume.
