Kate Nash is ace, had the pleasure of meeting her last year too. She's an all round good egg!

Dear Graham,

Sorry this has nothing to do with Kate Nash.

Met you years ago, at the Gate Theatre. You'd been to see The Homecoming. I waxed lyrical about Father Ted and you were very gracious.

If you have 2 mins, please take a look at a sketch me and my writing partner Emily wrote. It's about smoking and having babies.

All the best,

Justine Mitchell

Quite liked that, Justine! Some really nice jokes even though it's somewhat familiar territory. God! Actual jokes in a sketch! What next?

It is nicely produced, but I saw her do it on Jools Holland with just piano and drums and the song seemed pretty weak then without the bells and whistles.

I know great pop has to be dumb as well as clever, but the 'bitter/fitter' rhyme makes me want to die.

She was fantastic on Jools Holland! What are you on about?

Hrm, that hits a little close to home... and somehow I can't find an "unedited" mp3 version of this song

i dont think its my kind of thing, seems very lily allen ish etc...
sorta reminds me of the streets (but with better lyrics, but less interesting music)

i think my fav single has to be Icky Thump - white stripes

Recently saw Kate playing to 4 people in Whelan's. Supported by what looked like a Chas 'n' Dave tribute band. Which thinned the crowd to 2. Is there some sort of Dick Van Dyke movement sweeping through the London music scene? Anyway, for those interested, cool electro remix of Foundations here: http://thedailygrowl.blogspot.com/2007/07/big-catch-up-2-beats-bleeps-and-remixes.html

that essex accent goes right through me, that hardly seems like a "great song"

Ta,

I heard this song ages ago and fell in love with it instantly (I love it when that happens) bought it on release day and then played it again and again and again and again...moved to America and left it in my car..so chuffed to hear it once more.
