Oh, no! Bono!

This is pretty damn grim!

See if you can keep your lunch down while Bono is applauded by music industry types for a fiery yet meaningless "God is with the poor" speech. The great Mick Nugent, provocateur, humorist and one of the bravest men in Ireland (the stories he could tell you about dealing with the thug wing of Sinn Fein would curl your eyebrows) alerted me to this via his new site That's Ireland. I hope he updates often, because when it comes to the cabinet of curiosities that is my native land, Mick's yer only man.

It isn't true that God does nothing for the poor, after all, he gave them Bono.

The poor have all the luck.

I've never seen such enthusiastic applause for a basic explanation of omnipresence. Yes, Bono, he's in cardboard boxes. He's also in train carriages, coke cans, and all orifaces everywhere. Not literally, ofcourse. That would be stupid and disgusting.
