Operation Ordure
The most shocking thing I read all week was in the technology section of The Guardian. Apparently, Operation Ore might be a big pile of horseshit.

So is Chris Langham innocent?

I hope so, because he's hugely talented. If he's guilty, I still want him punished, but it would be great if he was innocent and could get his career back because he's a genius.
I couldn't think of any way in which he COULD be innocent, but this might be it.

And the worst of it was that The Guardian didn't make more of the story. I have The Guardian delivered every day and don't usually read the Technology section and missed that story until I saw your link today.

..but to be honest, if it's screaming at you from the front page of one of the sections, linked from page 2.. there's only a certain amount we can do.

Did try to get some news coverage, but other events intruded.

at least you got it out there! I suppose a news story that renders moot several years of sensational headlines may be a little hard to swallow for the editors...
