One down, five to go
Well, we bagged our first recording of series 2 last night and I think it went well. This time round, the audience was made up of fans so they were completely tuned in to the rhythm of the thing and I hope we rewarded them with a show that's a little less frantic and a lot more...well, actually, it's probably just the same old nonsense, to be honest.

Still, though, Sean, our wonderful I.T guy, pointed out that I no longer need to need to type in the full name of the show in order to ego-surf, so we must be getting something right.

Hi Graham - we gang of IT fans were at the recoding on Friday. A little less frantic, but still very funny. And fascinating to see extra lines being added on the fly. (Which, BTW, I think without exception were improvements.)

Less good was the warm-up guy, who couldn't raise a laugh in a nitrous oxide factory known for its rare canister-eating microbes. I think we concluded he was somebody's cousin, or else he has photographs of you with an underage dog. Either way, we had more laughs standing outside in the rain...

But the show? Still workin'.

Man, I do pity warm up guys, though. When you think about it, three hours in front of a crowd, being interrupted by floor managers, trying not to use up your best material at the start...not an easy gig.

But thanks...I'll see what I can do to make the experience a more pleasant one for everybody concerned.

Impressive!

Don't know if you're interested, but your show's made it into this: "http://reallifecomics.com/archive/070326.html" gaming comic, and they don't even get it over there...

This will sound like a boring question you've heard before, because I assume you have.

Is it 'It' or 'I.T.' Crowd?

Channel Four used the latter for about the first week during the first, then switched to 'It'. Which is it meant to be, or isn't it meant to be any?
I'm sure it doesn't matter. Looking forward to S2.
I'm off out for an ice-cream.

I prefer 'it', but it looks like everyone else likes I.T.

We'll probably go with I.T for series two, but I'll keep calling it 'it'.

I was there on Friday, and can confirm that it was a fantastic episode. The entire cast were terrific, with special mention to Richard A. Did you hear that laugh for the line at the end of the 'news' scene? Wow.

And you were very nice, getting us to stand up and all that, much appreciated.

(I was a bit underwarmed by the warm-up, though. Sorry.)
