Idiots, idiots everywhere.
Turner Broadcasting has completely wussed out on the Aqua Teen situation and is agreeing to pay $2 million to the stupidest city on earth. Aren't they just throwing Stevens and Berdovsky to the wolves by admitting culpability on this matter?

I'm beginning to worry the dumbass, caught-with-dick-in-hands authorities are going to throw the book at these guys, who are seen below giving the only appropriate response to the situation.

It seems jittery in the extreme that people would cower in fear at the sight of an anthropomorphic, gesticulating box of chips made of colourful LEDs. More understandable, perhaps, if the signs were placed in utterly bizarre locations, but surely (by definition) an advertisement - even a 'guerilla' one - is likely to be placed in a high-profile, highly-visible spot, whereas planting an explosive device with the intentions of causing damage at a later time would, presumably, involve some effort to hide the package to avoid premature detection. This story is depressing on two levels: firstly that people are now this frightened, and secondly that it seems safe to assume suspicions were heightened because people didn't necessarily recognise the product being advertised here. I wonder how many people would've reported a (slightly better-made, admittedly) Coke or KFC sign displayed near a bridge to the authorities?
