I always thought it was funny that Democrats are always trying to get things banned. This is the PMRC all over again. It's such a right-wing position.

Anyway, Graham, I just wanted to say I'm a HUGE fan of your work, you're one of my favorite comedy writers. I really hope The IT Crowd comes to America soon.

I think you'd really enjoy some of my videos, namely my two humorous speeches. I know it's shameless advertising on my part but I can't resist.

Have a good day, sir.

The american War On Gaming isn't anything particularly new- if you click through to GamePolitics.com on the bottom of that Wired article, you'll find that that's just the most recent in a long line of US-centric anti gaming bills, all of which, thankfully, are effortlessly defeated via the gift of The First Amendment.

Still, it's not as bad as the time the two stories above got tangled and in an attempt to ban online gambling, Greece magaged to outlaw gaming in all its forms. Well done them.

Whenever bills like this are attempted, it actually makes me happy. This sort of thing is simply a right of passage for any new medium to navigate before it's fully accepted. It makes me realize that games are arriving as an expressive medium. Doesn't scare me one bit.
