I can't decide whether I love or hate Andy Dick right now. I'm watching the 2006 Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner (which is overall hilarious, let me just say), and Andy's one of the roasters... and he's been giving off some very mixed signals in terms of his likability.
In the minus column:
* He's been a very poor sport regarding any gay jokes directed toward him, refusing to laugh and visibly mouthing things like "No. No," and "What the hell?" at the camera, and at one point even spit angrily (I was almost waiting for him to walk off the stage in a huff). As if a) he's still surprised that people make gay jokes about him (really, Andy?), and b) he so insecure in his sexuality that he actually thinks someone will be convinced he's gay based on things said at a roast. Frankly, this just makes him look homophobic; I don't care if it's true or not, it's still not a good look.
* When another comic made the joke: "Andy Dick's sole mission in life is to give AIDS back to the monkeys," he pretended to laugh, but then did that thing where you "covertly" give someone the finger by using it to fix your glasses or scratch your nose with (he did both). People, in case you don't know: that does not fool anybody, ever. And it doesn't make you seem coy, either; it just makes you seem obnoxious and cowardly. If you're going to give somebody the finger, at least be upfront about it.
* Some else made a joke about the fact that William Shatner rode in on a horse, saying: "When I heard someone was going to come on a horse, I thought, 'They're really going to let Andy Dick and Lisa Lampanelli get away with murder!'" As everyone, including Andy, was laughing, he pointed at Lisa and yelled "You're the horse!" — which rather struck me as bad form. Yeah, she was pretty much the butt of that joke; and she took it well, laughing along with everyone else. But you don't score any bonus points by rubbing it in. :\
On the other hand, in the plus column:
* He was the first and only comic to bring up Kirk/Spock; which is something I was waiting for the whole time, I must admit. And he did it better than I could've hoped for. He came out dressed as a Vulcan ("I took off my Andy Dick costume so I could be more comfortable,") to reveal that his "true" name is Andy Kock with a K, and he is in fact the "illegitimate butt baby" of Kirk and Spock. XD He then proceeded to readsome truly awful fanfiction an entry from what he referred to as the real captain's log, detailing his conception. With such classic lines as: "Captain, when is the last time you had your bunghole vulcanized?" and "For a being with no emotions, his meat-hammer sure seemed angry at my butt."
He finished it off by telling Shatner, "Mom... even though you abandoned me, I love you. And congratulations on your big night."
* Later, when Patton Oswalt talked about Andy Dick licking a roller-skate in a Jessica Simpson video (O.o) and said, "I never thought I would feel bad for a roller-skate," Andy got up, walked over to the podium and licked him. Admittedly, there are two problems with this: a) why would you do stuff like that if you don't want people making gay jokes about you, and b) he looked a little angry, so I couldn't tell whether he was just having fun with it or outright trying to be a jerk; but it was still pretty funny. And maybe that "angry" look was just part of his characteristically deadpan delivery.
Later, he went on to walk into the audience and lick — and then be licked by — Carrie Fisher, when Patton made a joke about her. And a little after that he walked across the stage and did the same to Farrah Fawcett, who was one of the roasters (not a very good one; but that's beside the point). It was all pretty hilarious; especially Patton Oswalt's reactions. At that point, he had nothing left to say except, "Why do I feel like Courtney Love killed Andy Dick and put his skin on?"
XD
So... I'm conflicted, here. On the one hand, the homophobic-seeming stuff makes it a lot harder to enjoy his otherwise brilliant tribute to the cornerstone of slash. I mean, for goodness sake, how are you going to make gay jokes about others when you can't take one yourself? But on the other hand... MPREG AND GARY STU REFERENCES! Dude, come on. How do I not love a guy for that?
Of course, the licking was probably more WTF than anything else. But I was still quite amused by it. So, I dunno.
A few side notes:
* Betty White is a dirty little old lady... and I love it. How did I never know this about her?
* I also didn't realize George Takei had such a sexy voice. I mean, physically, he's so not my type; but... yum.
* Did you guys know Shatner was the guy in that Twilight Zone episode where there's something on the wing of the plane? I totally didn't. O.o

I knew the Twilight Zone thing already, but my mom made sure of that when I first started watching Star Trek.
On the fence about m-preg...It is a shame that my favorite male couples can't reproduce, and I do think they'd make lovely babies, some of them, it's just very weird to me.
well, dude... that was acting. it doesn't really say anything about what she's like in real life (any more than tobey mcguire can shoot webs out of his wrists). but even if it did, those are attributes of violence, not of a filthy mind.
anyway, i was pretty surprised. she's got such a 'nice little old lady' image, i really didn't expect to hear her talk about cock-rings and such.

apparently that's a pretty well-known thing. they showed a clip from when he guest-starred on third rock from the sun, which made reference to it, like people were supposed to know he was the guy. that would've totally gone over my head.

oh, dude... i'm totally not into m'preg for real, lol. but that's why it's funny. bad slash cliches were the whole point.
i mean, most of the time, i find m'preg too cheesy and unrealistic (although i've read some serious fics with it that were the exception to the rule). but when intended as crack, it can be pretty hilarious. :P
I hate mentioning that I like Twilight Zone and then being asked "Edward or Jacob?" Kids these days...
M-preg is the only way to explain certain characters existing, though. Or even female x female pregnancy.

*headdesk* has that really happened to you?

lol... oh?
2. I guess. You ever seen a character on a TV show that's like a mixture of two other characters, and their parents haven't shown up yet? It just ends up that these characters usually remind me of two guys, or two girls combined, instead of certain guy x certain girl.
(as much as i did still love his kirk/spock thing. i can't deny that.)
but i agree, george takei was pretty awesome -- both his own portion of the roast, and his reactions. i love that wide-open-mouth laugh of his. XD
speaking of both of them... something that equally annoyed me and cracked me up: while george takei was up at the podium, he started to say, "andy, as a fellow gay man..." and the camera panned to andy dick, who was giving him pointed glares and mouthing "no" -- then made a >:[ face when, to his disappointment, the joke continued.
it literally looked like he was expecting george to stop in the middle of the joke and say, "oops, never mind." like, seriously. O_o
