Sentence drabbles! W00t!
Harry Potter
1) There was just one thing Harry could guess from the twinkle in the old wizard's eyes, the barely perceptible change in that wise, stoic expression: whatever Dumbledore was seeing in the mirror, it certainly wasn't a new pair of socks.
2) The only thing Petunia Evans ever wanted, her entire life, was to be as special as her sister.
3) On the day Severus Snape, 52, was officially sworn in as Hogwarts headmaster, there was one thought on his mind: "Let's hope I won't have to switch to a diet of tea and lemon drops."
Angel
1) They were fools, every single one of them, mortal and weak and utterly useless creatures... and now, so was she.
2) It wasn't the kissing or the sex that she missed, or even the comfort of falling asleep and waking up with another person's arms around her; it was a happy and content Charles, free of anger and turmoil — him Fred missed most of all.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
For a split second she saw it in his eyes, everything he once was: the man, the demon, the killer... her "Angel—?" ...and then she was crumbling into dust.
Ok, here's a thought: who here thinks I should start putting characters/pairings in the cut title instead of just fandoms? I mean, I guess initially I figured it didn't matter much, since they were just sentences... But, maybe it'll make it more likely that people might click on the cut? Anyone think so?
Meanwhile, the Petunia thing... I wrote that a while ago, actually, but now that I'm (finally) reading Order of the Phoenix, I've got all sorts of corresponding thoughts about her. And how she's frighteningly similar to my sister Irene. Or, she might be, according to this theory I'm nursing... I should really expand on that sometime. Wonder if anyone would read it, if I did. I mean, this is when I really sorta wish I had more Harry Potter friends, i.e. people who might actually care about such theorizing...
Anyway. Comments are my crack. Feed my habit, won't you?
Even if it's something like "your drabbles suck!" ...well, I might not appreciate that quite as much as positive commentary. But I'll take it.
There shall be Pirates of the Caribbean and/or Lost, next time I do these. If anyone cares. Also, I'll try to do a substantial, non-drabbly post sometime next week. Of course, those are the ones that no one ever seems to read...

Well, I care about your Petunia theory and PotC sentence drabbles - not so much the Lost ones, cause I don't watch it ;)
Now, for comments:
HP #1 - ::snort:: And doesn't that just bring some... interesting things to mind ;)
HP #2 - Snape as Headmaster. Those poor gryffindors...
HP #3 - Very nice. And on a side note, I've always thought that her hate towards all things magical was fueled by jealousy, myself. I mean, everybody loved Lily, right? She excelled in school, for magic no less, had all these friends and a wonderful husband, and Petunia ends playing housewife for... Vernon? I mean, come on. There's no way she's not just a little bit jealous.
AtS #1 - Short, sweet, and poignant. This is why I like your sentence drabbles.
Ats #2 - Fred and Gunn never really did anything for me. I dunno why. It was just... Eh.
BtVS #1 - I'm just gonna come right out and say it: I have no idea what happened there. I blame it on the mind-numbing classes I had today. Was this Darla back in the day? Or Buffy's perspective in Angel's dream wedding? I'm so confused and feeling a little like an idiot for missing it...
Well, it's entirely possible that you don't know that bout Anna and I happen to share that opinion.
*is a freak and replies to every single thing you said*
HP1- i know, haven't you always wondered about that?
HP2- heh. at least they'd get a break from all the favoritism they so totally get from dumbledore.
no, but, couldn't you just see it, though? and, if nothing else... perhaps the less time snape spends in the classroom, terrorizing students, the better. on the other hand, they'd have to find somebody who could actually teach potions half as competently as him...
HP3- that's so exactly what i was thinking. i mean, remember in book 1 (the scene with hagrid, i think), when she's talking about how much everyone used to love lily, and how she was the only one to see her for the freak she was? the jealousy is SO obvious there.
i think there's more to her hate of magic than that, though -- this is where it relates to my sister. if i don't get around to posting about this, you'll have to remind me to tell you later...
AtS1- why, thank you. *glows*
AtS2- to tell the truth, me neither. i just dig the angst.
BtVS- well, you did get it on the first guess, actually. yeah, it's darla.
remember "angel," in season 1, where buffy first finds out angel's a vampire, then darla and the master try to turn angel evil, and in the end he kills her? it's that.
I care about your Petunia theory and PotC sentence drabbles
well, good to know someone does. of course, this would surely work better if i actually posted more, instead of crawling out from under a rock about once a month and then complaining that i get no comments...
not so much the Lost ones, cause I don't watch it
do wish i had more of a chance to convince you, on that one. but i guess you not actually having any time for it, even if you did want to watch it, does rather put a crimp in those plans.
I really liked these drabbles. I love how you are able to pack so much into a simple sentence. Fantastic job.
The only thing Petunia Evans ever wanted, her entire life, was to be as special as her sister.
Yes! That really explains so much about her character and how she treats Harry.
Also, I'm interested in reading your HP theories, if you ever want to share them.
exactly! i swear, one of these days i'm totally gonna type up a whole long thing about this. soon as i actually have the time...
oh, and thanks a ton for the feedback. :)
long time no hear, by the way. where've you been?
