| Bio: | I'm a technical writer for a company that produces software for telecommunications management. I write end-user documentation (including help files, training guides, and newsletters), internal documentation (specifications, setup instructions, and what-have-you for tech support), and anything else that requires someone who has a "way with words." (Yes, I sometimes get pulled into marcom, though most who know me consider me far too honest to be in marketing. I take that as a compliment.)
Oh, and I recently picked up responsibility for writing product descriptions for my company's web site. Web writing is much like a constructing a word puzzle — pack in as many key phrases as you can without sounding stilted or stupid and make sure they appear in the metatags. Piece o' cake!
I have a husband, a cat, and two children (one in dental school and one a software QA engineer). One grandchild on the way, a grandson, due October 15, 2002.
