Duchovny, Anderson Up for More 'X-Files'

Over 200 episodes, fans grew to know a lot about Fox Mulder and Dana Scully on The X-Files. Since the show's left the air, however, six years have passed, and many feel that the series ultimately became too heavy for its own good. There's probably some truth in that; it was certainly not an easy series to wrap up, like Sam Malone turning to a patron and saying, "We're closed." Loose ends took a while to braid together.

Steven Gerrard gets university honour

England and Liverpool football player Steven Gerrard has been awarded an honorary fellowship by a Liverpool university.

The 28-year-old, who was awarded the MBE in 2007, was given the honour by Liverpool John Moores University.
It was given to mark the Anfield club captain's contribution to sport.

Gerrard, who said he was proud to receive the honour, had his fellowship conferred during a graduation ceremony at the city's Anglican Cathedral.

Speaking earlier, Liverpool John Moores University's (LJMU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Brown said they were "delighted" to welcome Gerrard to the university family.

"Steven epitomises the university philosophy of dream, plan, achieve," he said.

"As a young boy he excelled in the sport he loves and ensured his talent was recognised, looking upon challenges as opportunities and pursuing each available avenue.

"As a result he has become one of the best sportsmen in the country, if not the world.

"As a prominent sporting figure and a son of the city, it is fitting that LJMU, an international leader in sports and exercise science and a major contributor to Liverpool's success and growth, should award Steven with this honorary fellowship."

Jamie Lynn Spears kicks Casey out after finding calls to another woman

The National Enquirer reports that Jamie Lynn kicked Casey out of the house after she found calls to another woman on the bill for his cell phone. She is also said to try and keep track of his Internet usage to see if he’s getting up to anything sneaky online. Casey is back in the house now, and it sounds like Jamie Lynn really wanted to teach him a lesson:

New mom Jamie Lynn Spears threw her fiance Casey Aldridge out of their home - after she discovered he’s been calling other girls on his cell phone! It’s the latest in a series of battles between the teens since the birth of their daughter, Maddie Briann, on June 19…

The confrontation occurred soon after the couple moved back into their new 5-acre home in Liberty, MS, after spending three weeks at Lynn Spears’ gated mansion Serenity in Kentwood, LA.

While sorting through the mail, 17 year-old Jamie Lynn saw phone calls to other girls on Casey’s cell phone bill and confronted him.

“Casey told Jamie Lynn that she is ‘hormonal’ and that all the rumors of his cheating are just her imagination, but Jamie Lynn didn’t believe him,” said the insider. “It was too much for Jamie Lynn and she threw him out of the house. He stayed out all night.”

The Enquirer’s insider adds that Jamie Lynn thinks Casey “might be cheating with his old girlfriend.” They add that she’s been “searching the Internet for other evidence of his cheating” and that she obviously “doesn’t trust him.”

emma watson's 'ballet shoes' gets theatrical release.

There is a new article online from Home Media Magazine which gives information on a limited theatrical release in the US for “Ballet Shoes,” the BBC film staring Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). Set to take place in a total of “171 theaters in 77 markets across 35 states,” the showings will start on August 26th, the week prior to the film’s DVD release in the US on September 2. Additionally, the article notes that “All participating theater chains within a 20-mile radius of the showcasing theaters will begin playing the film’s trailer Aug. 1 and will feature the theatrical poster beginning Aug. 4.” Readers will remember “Ballet Shoes” was first broadcast on BBC1 last December. The release of the Region 2 DVD in the UK followed shortly after in January.

Hey guys,

I was recently interviewed by "the geek" in American Teen, in theaters today in New York and Los Angeles. We had a fun time and I enjoyed giving him my dating advice!

Yesterday I did a public service announcement for breast cancer.

My grandma MJ is a breast cancer survivor. She had both breast cancer then colon cancer over 15 years ago. She is such a fighter!

I encourage every girl to do a self breast exam!

'Harold & Kumar' set for third puff

Harold and Kumar are ready to spark up again.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" and "Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay" and directed the latter, will return to write and direct a third installment for Mandate Pictures.

Greg Shapiro will return as producer.

Storyline is being kept under wraps.

Stars John Cho and Kal Penn are expected to reprise their roles as the ganja-loving duo because Mandate has options on the actors for the third installment.

New Line, which was folded into Warner Bros. in February, distributed the first two films. Warners will likely distribute the third "Harold and Kumar."

Mandate prexy Nathan Kahane said he is eager to revisit the stoner franchise.

"Thanks to Jon and Hayden, the Harold and Kumar movies pushed envelopes, broke boundaries and connected with fans," he said. "We are so grateful to be back in business with Jon, Hayden and Greg."

First film garnered a cult following, earning $18 million domestically in 2004 and generating more than $30 million in DVD coin. Sequel, which cost $12 million, earned $14.9 million its opening weekend before topping out at $38 million. "Guantanamo Bay" is set for release on DVD on Tuesday.

Comic-Con: 'Incredible Hulk' writer VS. Edward Norton; Avengers NEWS.

On Norton and the Hulk script, which Penn ultimately received sole credit for (he had been concocting the storyline for 16 years): "Yes, [the fallout] prevented me from collaborating with him [during production]. I don't really know the guy, he has his own process and he chose to do it the way he wanted to do it. That said, I kept in touch with the people making the movie — but he, you know, has his own particular way of working and...it was unusual. I really don't know, I wasn't there, I was off making another movie, so it wasn't a situation where I was banging on the door saying, 'Let me come to the set.' But that was disappointing, I won't deny it. I wasn't happy with him coming to Comic-Con saying that he wrote the script. I can't tell you that made me go back and watch Fight Club."

On The Avengers: "Right now, we're [he and Marvel Entertainment] planning a bigger Avengers movie that will tie all of the movies together, and it's going to bring in a lot of the comic book authors. I am writing, but also, I think you guys [looking at Fergus] are going to be writing with us too, right? [Fergus looks back blankly.] Maybe you don't know that yet, but you are."

Team Griffin is still solid, intact and ready to continue with the laughs.

Despite reports that Jessica Zajicek, Kathy Griffin’s assistant and co-star on Bravo’s “My Life on the D-List”, had left the comedian, a rep for Kathy told AccessHollywood.com that Jessica is still Kathy’s assistant.

A online blog reports the split of Team Griffin.

Not true according to Kathy’s camp.

“There’s no truth to the story,” the rep told AccessHollywood.com.

“My Life on the D-List” is currently not filming as Kathy is on tour bringing her irreverent pop culture-fused brand of comedy to her legions of fans.

BravoTV viewers can catch Jessica, Tiffany, Tom and of course Kathy every Thursday on the fourth season of the Emmy Award-winning show.

Live from Comic-Con: Season 4 of 'Bones' spoilers

Love was definitely on the minds of everyone who attended today's panel for Bones at the San Diego Comic-Con. Of course there was the question about whether Booth and Brennan would ever hook up, but many other cast members also spoke about upcoming romances for their characters. It seems that season 4 of the hit FOX series will be all about sexy trysts and new relationships. Series creator Hart Hanson appeared alongside stars David Boreanaz, John Francis Daley, Michaela Conlin and Tamara Taylor to drop hints about the upcoming season.
