For all of yesterday I could barely contain my excitement, for at night I would be seeing one of my favourite bands ever, fucking MUSE. It didn't really sink in, they've always been one of those sort of out-of-reach bands to me, I can always remember back in February when myself and archduck were having lunch in Glasgow we were chatting about gigs and stuff and when Steph told me she'd seen them live I was like "OMG YOU'VE SEEN MUSE? YOU'RE SO LUCKY!" I never ever expected to be able to see them live, let alone be RIGHT AT THE FRONT.

After school I almost literally ran home to get ready and get the 4:50pm train, got my mum to take a picture of me in my Matt Bellamy copycat outfit being all hardcore (to come later) and then ran for the train. I had the following conversation with the ticket woman:

Me: Half single to Exhibition Centre, please
Ticket Woman: Is there something on there tonight?
Me: Yeah, Muse are playing
Ticket Woman: What?
Me: Muse are playing
Ticket Woman: Never heard of them. Is that a band?
Me: Yep...

And a load of scene cunts got on at Motherwell. I hoped they were going to CSS/1990s (if it hadn't been for Muse I'd probably have been there myself) but no such luck. x_x
Anyway I eventually got there at just left 6, and some wanker as I was going up the tunnel offered me a ticket for £70, and I burst out laughing in his face. I got down to the SECC after mucho powerwalking and had a look for this bloke I was meant to be buying a ticket off, couldn't see him so just went straight in. Spotted __noabsolution right away, in her bright yellow t-shirt. Noticed there weren't many people infront of her and Danny so I started waving like a looney and ran over and we exchanged hugs and stuff. :D
Hung about, it was only about half an hour till doors opening, I went round the corner to see if I could see any more familiar faces. Spotted _lady_eowyn_ and xfakesoundx and went over and gave them hugs and stuff as well. They said I could join them in the queue if I wanted:
Me: Nah it's alright, I'm round there at the front
Shona: Ohhh right. How are you going to survive at the barrier?
Me: Dunno but... *unconvincingly* I'll be alright!
LOL!
Went back round to Aimee and Danny and they proceeded to tell me about some creepy guy that had been strolling around lmao. Then hullabalo_o phoned and we were spazzing down the phone to one another. Just then I saw this bloke with a crate and 3 megaphones in it, meaning one thing - FEELING GOOD.
Me: *starts bashing Aimee's arm and pointing* LOOK! LOOK!
Aimee & Danny: *start squealing*
Me: OHHHH MY GOD THIS GUY'S JUST WALKED PAST WITH MEGAPHONES AND THEY'RE GONNA PLAY FEELING GOOD OMGGGG
Maysie: OHHH DSLKFAJLKJDFJLKSDKJSJDKFKJJSKD
Lmao. Then Maysie was telling me about this fic idea she had.
Me: HODGSON? AS THE DOCTOR?
Aimee: *lolz* Maybe you should go round there...
Maysie was going on about how I had to tell her what Dom was wearing as soon as I saw him, and that "HE BETTER HAVE THE WHITE TROUSERS ON!"
Me: *to Aimee and Danny* What trousers are we wanting Dom to wear?
Aimee: YELLOW!
Then it somehow got onto the subject of Matt's sparkly trousers cue Aimee being all "IF HE WEARS THOSE I'M GONNA KILL HIM"
Anyway, we hung around talking nonsense for a bit and then eventually the doors opened.
Aimee: *to Danny* I'd better not lose you
Danny: *to me* I'm more worried about losing you actually
LOL.
They got in before me and started running, so I had to bolt after them lmao.
Security Bloke: STOP! RUNNING! THERE'S NOBODY INFRONT OF YOU!
So we got front center :DDDDD
The wait until Noisettes came on seemed to go on forever. It only was an hour and a quarter, but we got bored really quickly. By the time they did come on my legs were already killing me. S'pose I shouldn't complain though, Aimee and Danny had been there for 6 hours longer than I had XD
Aimee asked me if I'd heard anything by them and I told her I had, and that they were "alright" and had a female singer. So.
Firstly the guitarist came on, and we were all in hysterics already at his fucking trousers. Yellow tartan shite, ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS LIKE. Oh, but we weren't prepared for the singer. She was wearing this fucking hideous skintight... sparkly... thing, and she took her boots off the minute she got onstage. AND WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT PINK BALLERINA-ESQUE THING SHE HAD ROUND HER NECK?
She was quite frankly terrifying, actually.
Aimee's face was priceless.
...I really don't like Noisettes now. They're pretty shit.
I couldn't stop laughing though, between the singer, guitarist, part time bassist who stood at the side of the stage dancing for most of their set, AND THE FUCKING SPAZZY DRUMMER it made for some serious comedy.
The woman kept on spitting. And she was right at the front of the stage grinning at us at one point.
HAHA then she took a drink of her water, and she fucking chucked half of it all over us.
Lmao, then I said to Aimee "I hope she hasn't fucking spat in that."
And I made the observance that it didn't exactly look like water... it was a strange colour, Christ knows what it was, but I know for a fact it looked questionable and was NOT water. Proof in photographic form later.
Woman: This is our last song
Crowd: *CHEERS*
Aimee: Thank Christ for that
So they finally fucked off, and the wait for Muse went in a bit faster than the wait for The Noisettes.
Me and Aimee burst out laughing at this bloke in this grey t-shirt that walked past. And then I had the giggles and couldn't fucking stop laughing, it wasn't even all that funny.
This girl that had been behind me when we first got there had pushed in beside me, and her boyfriend had been standing behind her wrapped round her for ages (with his elbow in my armpit I might add), and HE pushed in as well so I was standing fucking side on by the time Muse's arrival onstage was nearing. Annoyance. AND I HAD ANOTHER HAND UP MY SIDE AS WELL. So I squished it.
We laughed at this boy with a photo pass who was about 12 (because we're mean innit) and then this other photographer took a photo of that couple beside me and gave the guy his card with his flickr URL on it. xD
Then the guy asked me if I was okay. I said Aye. xD
They played Arcade Fire, and it took Aimee ages to figure out what song it was, and me even longer xDDD
OMFGLOLZ.
Then they played fucking Vertigo by U2.
Us: Oh for fuck's sake
Everyone else: *go mental and start singing and pogoing and shit*
We were getting really impatient, waiting on the wankers taking down the curtain covering up Muse's stage set.
I had this funny feeling they'd start with Knights Of Cydonia, and Aimee and Danny were not impressed.
But we spotted the setlist. I saw the first three songs - Take a Bow, Hysteria, Map Of The Problematique. So, we were made up. xD
And I was already squashed before Muse had come on. x_x

The lights went down, and that was it, the place went absolutely fucking CRAZY. I squeezed myself a bit more space. Annoying that I had to, I HAD LOADS OF SPACE WHEN WE FIRST GOT THERE AND DURING NOISETTES!
Anyway.
We saw Morgan, Chris (predictably wearing his usual black shirt and stripey tie combo), and Matt (dressed in this shirt that looked like a fucking cape), and I was all "where the fuck's Dom?!"
Take a Bow started, and it was absolutely brilliant. Then I realised where bloody Dominic was (wearing a BLACK CARDIGAN, a blue and white checked shirt and black trousers). In this big.. thing. You'll see it in the photos later x)
Anyway, setlist.

1. Take A Bow I've never been OMGWOW about this song, but I really do love it now. It opened the show so well.
2. Hysteria I got the most incredible rush when this was played, and I'm stood there fucking texting people. Hilarity.
3. Map Of The Problematique I'd went off this song recently, but oh GOD I'm back on it again. Absolutely fantastic live. DOM'S DRUMMING = MESMERISING.
4. Butterflies & Hurricanes This was just brilliant. I took a video of Matt on the piano during this one, but it got cut short thanks to the bastard fat security guards in my face.
5. Assassin (Extended) I knew as soon as I heard the intro to this, I was in for an assassination myself. And my suspicions were correct. Oh good GOD. It's so charged live though, it's brilliant. Again, Dom's drumming is just wow O_O
6. Plug In Baby For some reason since I'd had Citizen Erased in my head all day I was just waiting for Matt to start playing the intro XD Alas, he never did, I couldn't even make out what this was to begin with. I got crushed to death during this as well x) SRSLY orgasmic though.
7. Forced In This was a real relief, meant people calmed down a little bit. And like Aimee said to me earlier, people weren't singing and killing our hearing. x_x It was lovely though.
8. Bliss (Extended) Definitely a set highlight, HOW GOOD WAS THIS? I'm glad they extended it as well. Simply wonderful.
9. Feeling Good :D:D:D I'd been waiting for the whole set so far to phone Maysie, I was keeping in mind the songs she wanted me to call her during and here was one of them. This was brilliant. I loveloveloved Matt and his megaphone and that bloody piano.
10. Soldiers Poem People singing this was hilarious in one sense, because they were all so bad. It was annoying though when I wanted to hear Matt. I love this so much, it's gorgeous live.
11. Hoodoo I had not been looking forward to this at all, I'm not all that big on this song. I've been converted. When the drums kick in... I love the "I've had recurring nightmares..."etc bit at the end of it too.
12. Invincible :D One of the best songs of the set, it has to be said. I told done_deal I'd phone when this came on xP so I did. Seriously though people, how good was this? Such a brilliant song. Mesmerised by Matt's fingers during the guitar bit before the last chorus. Wowww.
13. Supermassive Black Hole As predicted, was hilarious to hear everybody attempting to sing along with this. Trying and failing is more like it. The only bit they can actually manage is "SUPERMASSIVE BLAAACK HOOOOLE" lmao. It was fucking brilliant though, that riff is killer.
14. Time Is Running Out I looked at Aimee and started laughing when this one came on because before she was saying she's heard it so many times... xD I had good fun singing this one though. "You will squeeze the life out of me" - very appropriate.
15. Stockholm Syndrome (matt trashes guitar) Just... wow. I got really crushed during this one however, couldn't enjoy it properly. ALTHOUGH IT WAS AMAZING NONETHELESS. Most of the songs all sound a lot better live. AND BELLS TRASHED HIS GUITAR AT THE END. Rock. And. Roll. x)

Then we were deliberating what would be played. I'd been taking note of what I'd seen in other setlists and what they hadn't played yet, I knew Starlight & Knights would be played but I couldn't think of what else they'd play, so I was hoping for Sunburn or Muscle Museum. However I'd forgotten one very important song...

16. Starlight YES, I joined in with Matt's clapping. It's very different live, but in a good way. Probably another of my highlights. Love.
17. New Born I heard folk chanting "NEW BORN!" and realised THAT was what they hadn't played. So, yeah. The set was flawless, really.
18. Knights Of Cydonia I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE LIVE. Can't quite express just how much of a rush I got from this, I knew it'd be a killer live but... amazing. Screaming "NO-ONE'S GONNA TAKE ME ALIVE" - how apt. ♥ And, I DANCED, and my camera almost went flying out of my hands. The finale, it was just… out of this world.

Misc. stuff I couldn’t fit in:

•THE GIANT FKN BALLOONS FILLED WITH CONFETTI OMG. And Matt bursting one with his guitar, and then Matt pissing about drinking from like every bottle of water that was onstage and playing some shite on the piano (LOL), then Dom going “he wants every one of those burst before playing” haha.
•Having some guy on top of me and the girl beside me going “do you know him?” lmao. This girl kept putting her arm between me and Aimee, and I kept trying to get her arm out of the way haha. I remember throwing my head back during one song, and headbutting someone XD
•“THIS CROTCH DOESN’T BELONG TO MATT BELLAMY SO WHY IS IT IN MY FACE?!”
•I looked up at Chris at one point (who had thankfully shaved) and his eyes were shut. He opened his eyes briefly and glanced down at the girl beside me, then at me, then really quickly shut his eyes tight as possible again. I was so amused, I couldn’t stop laughing.
•Mr Bellamy being completely rock’n’roll. His rock!face, his head bopping, getting down on his knees, shagging his guitar, GIVING THE MIC HEAD (I told Aimee that Maysie reckoned when he was singing he looked like he was performing fellatio on it XD). It was hilarious because it does look like that at times. Then Matt & Dom going behind the drum riser for some ~private time~. And also according to Aimee Dom was transfixed by Matt at one point. BLESS. I couldn’t hear a word she was saying when she tried to tell me last night.
•Matt coming right onto the little podium thingy that was infront of the stage, ie. RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. I remember screaming “MAAAAAAAAATHEWWWWWWWW” constantly x_x. Why? Dom kept grinning a lot as well, particularly during Knights. Haha when they went off Dom was like the last to go off, and I found myself yelling “DOMMERRRRRRRRR!”
•I lost both my hat and my shoe. I almost lost both shoes, but I didn’t let it happen. I ALMOST LOST MY BRA AS WELL. I was so squashed against the barrier, I felt it come undone and I looked down and it was coming out of my top K Lmao.
•What else? Oh, Matt Bellamy is God.
Matt is so bloody talented, his vocal range, the way he plays guitar, piano… FUCKING HELL.

…and that’s exactly what I said when the lights came up.
We all tried in vain to get a setlist, then I screamed “I FOUND MY SHOE!” and Aimee and Danny disappeared while I was trying to find my hat, haha.
Eventually got it but some security guy was being a bastard.
Went and bought a t-shirt. I wanted the MUSE braces but they were £20. Wish I’d got a poster as well, but I can always get it online.

Saw Aimee and Danny when Maysie was on the phone to me when I was on my way out, hugged goodbye and stuff. Then I saw Shona and Lynsey again :D

Had to go find my Uncle after that, he was in a bad mood but oh wells.

I am in pain today – my shoulder got completely fucked last night, my chest is killing me, my neck hurts, my back’s a bit sore, my legs were really sore this morning, my arms hurt, my left side is a bit ow… shouldn’t complain though. ALL. SO. WORTH. IT. :]
