I am finally trying to put some order in my life, and I'm starting it by fixing my room. With this in mind, I figured I should have a proper station for everything. For example, my pillows stay on my bed (and not on the floor. HAHA), my uber bright desk lamp should be on my study desk (not beside my bed for reading purposes), my dvds on my baul where my tv is (it should not be on the side of my gigantic "bed" for my -i'm-lazy-to-get-up-i'll-just-marathon- moods) etc. etc. I'm sure you get the drift.
So I positioned my laptop on the table beside my study desk where all my techie gadgets are located. My printer, scanner, my cellphone, and blackboard...and atop my desk, just a little bit higher than eye level is my trusty cork board. I've placed everything memorable there that has touched my life. It didn't have to be in a grandiose way (like my EAF from the term which I became a dean's lister, or pictures of friends and family) some were just little pieces of paper with cute sayings, random restaurant coasters, season 70 UAAP tickets and YO! Cards which I found adorable. Anything that was worth sticking to the board, I stuck.
I'd have to say though that one of my favorites among all the tacted things on the board would be a piece of paper which has a prayer on it. It was given to me during our school's LASARET exactly a year ago, and since I've read it word for word, I've tried to apply it to my every day life.

I wanted to share this with my friends, because I personally think that falling in love with what you're passionate about is just absolutely beautiful. Staying in love (which is more difficult) is even more fantastic.
I especially want to share this with my blockmates, and future fellow med-school students.
This coming June, we are about to embark on a journey that is 10x more exhuasting and tedious than a hundred biochem lectures, more stressing than a million orgchem equations, and physics lab reports... we will start treading the waters of all the sciences that can be known to man, swimming till our limbs are practically numb, just to be able to grab a buoy which is masked by a passing mark.
If this is what we want, and if it's truly meant for us...we will be able to stay afloat :)
We're going to be future doctors...and we'll make sure we kick ass. haha

Written on January 7, 2008; 2:11AM First off, I'm craving for sparkling white wine. But that's besides the point. Here we go.
There's something comforting and refreshing about reading other people's blogs. I guess in a way it makes me realize that sometimes I'm not the only who feels up or down or high or low regarding life, love and what not. Knowing that someone else out there feels the exact same way, though maybe through a different experience, makes the experience bearable and worth remembering.
Good writers fascinate me a lot. The way the use words to express feelings, create pictures, paint murals of everyday events makes me want to hone my writing skills as well.
I came across this saying just a few seconds ago:
Learn from mistakes

After reading it twice, I smiled a smile that I secretly share only with myself and God. It gave me a boost of strength. Learning from mistakes allows you to accept and let go, and then hope comes in and saves you from doubting and wallowing.
There really is beauty in the breakdown.
Life has shown me that over and over, again and again.
So here is to making more mistakes, and learning from them.
Here's to getting hurt, and then healing completely
Here's to having your heart broken, and finding someone to put the pieces back together again.
Here's to losing yourself, and then eventually finding your true meaning in life.
Here's to the past, which helped make your future better.
Here's to my faulty 2008 which helped pave my way to my "fresh" beginning in 2009.

An excerpt of one of the "feel-good" conversations I had recently: Favorite Hazel: I'm watching "somewhere intime". It's so effin old! =)) Me: "Haha due to that movie the words "great love" comes to mind" Favorite Hazel: "Naaalala ko kay Christopher reeve si Dan Scott =))" Me: "Yeah nga noh :) Haaay a great love! I'm watching sex and the city right now. It took me awhile to pop the dvd into the player due to my oh so broken...uhh...heart.... hahaha but now that I'm watching it, it isn't so bad pala" Favorite Hazel: "Some parts are dragging, so I skipped a few parts of the movie.I'm watching 512 now. I hope I get to watch my sassy girl before the term ends." Me: "What's 512? Another chick flick that will elicit a bunch of tears and make you want to stab your heart a minimum of 20 times because you're single? Favorite Hazel: "512 of OTH!!!" ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Hahahahahah I just kept laughing. I love you favorite :) And this was through text because apparently... I was "away" from my desk. You know what's funny...I enjoyed watching "Sex and the City" again. And truthfully, it might even be one of my most favorite movies now. It taught me a lesson, on life, friends...and most especially love. I didn't really enjoy it the first time I watched it...I think it's because of the timing. It's all about the timing right? And right now...as of this very moment (hahaha)...it fits just oh so fine. P.S. Awhile ago...my mother hugged me, smiled, looked at me and said "Welcome Back". It took me by surprise, but I absolutely got what she meant. I'm not fully back. I'm still healing, but I'm pretty much up and about. I also realized that my responses to hazel's texts were quite bitter. Hahahaha time to snap out of that zone don't you think? Snap Snap!

I couldn't even press the "next" button just to make it all disappear. I have no idea why, because I didn't really want to hear that song right at that moment, or any moment in the near future for that matter, and yet I still didn't do anything at all. I just sat there, watching my brother with a huge smile on his face as he kicked the soccer ball around, and listened to this damn song. Yes, I cheered him on. I smiled to show him that I was supportive. But deep inside I was pretty much dying. Pfffft. We were just talking about it a couple of weeks ago that it really really sucks when a good song is tainted with really bad memories. Well let me tell you that every single song I hear right now reminds me of you for obvious reasons. Every damn one of them. And those are a lot...because we're talking about the whole of summer. I ask myself if it really was just my fault. I knew what I was getting into, but being the stubborn hard headed girl that I am I still drove into this mess without a seatbelt buckled for safety. I hate that I know how much of an asshole you are. I hate that I know I don't deserve you. I hate that you've really got me twisted with your voice and your words. I hate that at this very moment, despite all the negative emotions that I feel for you, I'm still so damn attracted to you. Now that I think about it... Summer's about to end...and so are we.
