Random other stuff:

My fandoms... oh boy. My first fandom (in which I met other fans, I mean, not the book fandoms that entertained me in my own head since I was seven) was Starsky & Hutch. Of course the original. I was monofannish for about 20 years (though the Lymond Chronicles distracted me long enough for me to get a higher degree in Scottish history, I never engaged in any 'fandom' for that) and then was introduced - in quick succession - to Highlander and Due South. Never really engaged with the fandom much in those, either; Highlander more than Due South. In late 2003 I fell HARD for X/1999, started writing a monster epic (still in progress) and pretty much looked neither left nor right until early 2008 when... various things happened in very quick succession, I'm still too close to it to sum that up, but the upshot are a number of collaborations with k_julia:
- a Gokusen (1) vid which can be found here (this is the J-Dorama which started the slide into madness)
- a few stories based on KAT-TUN (a Japanese boy band). which are hosted at our joint fic comm haikusociety / haikusociety @ Dreamwidth. There'll be more of those to come. KAT-TUN has kind of taken over my life.

I'm happy for anybody to friend me (no need to ask) and I don't usually lock posts. I love good meta, character discussion, fic discussion and that kind of stuff. I stay away from fandom politics as much as I can. I hate generalizations and bandwagons. I really, really hate wank and drama.
