Here, eat my philosophy melon.

Okay, so dude...
The way I understand it is that all the music, notes, harmonies, melodies, all that stuff, has always existed. Any pattern, combination or order in which they can be placed has always existed. And same with any sound they make.

All that has always existed, invisible and unchanging.

The only thing that didn't exist, or was man-made was the instruments, the tools to make the sound, or knowledge of what order to write down the notes, music etc.

Dude.

Dude.

That's philosophy dude.

Dude.

Shoot me.

Dude.

Dear Laurel:

Did you come home with only one shoe?

It seems that way doesn't it.

---

Ugh! Ugh!
Drink too much. Leading to waking up and not remembering half the evening, and apparently coming home with only one shoe.
I'm sorry to the people who had to take care of me.
That's the most embarrassing thing about being intoxicated, especially when you are acting like an asshole.

Now back to our show...

Well that little spaz of quizzes was interesting.

This week (well actually only Monday and Tuesday) was full of critiques...because you know, that's the exam of equivalent when you are in the Visual Arts program.

Anyways, yeah my sculpture assignment was strange. My professor wanted us the make a sculpture that had something to do with the way a person's body works, or amplifys certain aspects of body movements/functions. BUT! Most importantly it had to be interactive. Yeah, as in the viewer had to be able to wear it or play with it, some how be involved with it.
Eergh! And this time my workshop was in wood, no more metal and welding for me. Very sad.
I enjoyed welding and I also enjoyed the inexspensiveness of being in the welding workshop.
Jeez, this sculpture I made cost a total of like 80$.

Anyways...my inspiration was elephantitis.
Caused by a parasitic worm that get lodged in you lymphatic vessels, causes swelling and rough skin. Worm is carried by a moisquito and when the moisquito bites the worm infects. Though there is thought to be a non-parasitic cause for some cases on elephantitis.
Anyways you end up getting huge swelled limbs, that are really heavy and makes it difficult to move.

And so I made a sculpture that one could wear...they are a kind of pants.
Some called them elephant pants, others call them fat pants.Collapse )
