using adobe photoshop 7.0

NOTE:
To follow this tutorial, you need to have photoshop knowledge.

1) First of all, crop your image to 100 x 100 pixels. Go to filter>Sharpen & sharpen it once.

2) Duplicate the base twice. So now, you have your base which is layer 1, layer 1 copy & layer 1 copy 2.

3) Click on layer 1 copy at your layers window and change the blending mode to Screen with an opacity of 20%.

4) Next, click on layer 1 copy 2 at your layers window and change the blending mode to soft light with an opacity of 30%.

*Do note that it depends on the image so I suggest that you play around with the opacity if you're using a different image from mine.
So now, your icon should look something like this.


5) Now, create a new layer and fill it with a very light blue color. I used #DAEBFF. Change the blending mode to Color Burn.

6) Create another layer and fill it with a light pink color. I used #FFDAE4. Change the blending mode to soft light.

Your icon should look like this now.


7) Now, go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation. Set the master saturation to +20.

It should look like this.


8) Go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Color Balance. Set the color levels to this.
Midtones: -30, -15, +10
Shadows: -30, +10, -10
Highlights: -20, -15, -10


9) Go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color & set the options to this.
Reds: Cyan: +45, Magenta: +7, Yellow: +15, Black: -31
Yellows: Cyan: -21, Magenta: +16, Yellow: -14, Black: -26
Magentas: Cyan: -100, Magenta: +31, Yellow: +23, Black: +18
Neutrals: Cyan: +21, Magenta: -6, Yellow: +5, Black: -5
Blacks: Cyan: +100, Magenta: +35, Yellow: -14, Black: -19
And merge all the layers.

10) As for the border, go to Edit>Stroke.
Width: 5px
Color: #AAAAAA
Location: Inside

11) Then, go to Edit>Stroke again and change the color to white and width to 4px.

12) Then, go to Edit>Stroke again and change the color back to #AAAAAA and width to 1px.

And you're done!

Okay, people! I am definitely not dead just busy...lol...and yes, i know that my last post is in like last year december? lol..sooo sorry.
& honestly, i even forgot that i actually have a livejournal because it has been sooooooo looooooooong......

haha...

anyways, here is an update of what is going on in my life for the past 5 months?
Okay, I'm not hanging out with my best friends anymore because they seriously suck! All they think about is boys, boys and BOYS! Seriously what is soo important about that. They even have an intention of failing almost everything in school...like WTF? So i cant take it anymore so i just don't talk to them. And it's been like 1 month since i talked to them. & I'm like so proud of myself for being independent. I realized something important that i never thought that i would..that is i don't need anyone to survive..because this is my life. I'm not like those bitch friends of mine who needs each other to survive. Okay, i got two friends who i don't hangout with anymore, H&B. It's so funny because they cant survive without each other..lol.. okay for example if H didn't come to school and B came, she will pretend to be sick in school and go home. So un-independent.
Honestly though, the reason i'm so angry at them is because i'm always the one who is being left out! So i thought it would be better if i dont hang out with them anymore because it comes to the same damn thing.. Besides, i can find better friends than those wannabes. I've got lots of friends at school and they only got each other. Ha! I win.
