Rukia had a hard life. She grew up in the slums of Soul Society along with her friend Renji. The two of them decided to elevate their status by becoming shinigami. A man named Byakuya of the Kuchiki family adopted her before she graduated and placed her among the footsoldiers of Division 13. Though she went up in social status, Rukia cannot help but feel lonely as her adoptive brother remains distant from her and others talk behind her back. She grows fond of the the only person to treat her normally; the vice-captain Kaien, only to kill him one night when he is posessesed. Needless to say, she feels a great burden on her shoulders. One that grows greater when she meets a young teenager named Ichigo who looks exactly like him and twists his fate when she gives him the powers of a shinigami in order to save his family from a Hollow (a ghost-monster that has been denied entry into Soul Society)

She tries to redeem herself by allowing herself to be excecuted when she is captured and sentenced to oblivion but is saved by Ichigo at the last moment and then finds out that her whole death sentence was a coverup by Aizen to obtain a powerful weapon inside of her. Can we say that this girl had extremely bad luck?

After she returns to the human world, she attempts to save Ichigo from his inner Hollow but finds herself injured once again by Grimmjow while off-guard. After she recovers, she wanders around town looking for Ichigo when she has to fight a Hollow. Before it died, however, it exploded, sending Rukia flying. The next thing she knows, she's on an island.

Personality-wise, she holds a strong front, bossing Ichigo around and taking her job far too seriously at times. However, she is also curious about the human world, highly entertained by childish things such as manga. At the same time, she is insecure about her own ability to do things to the expected levels her 'brother' holds her to. She has a huge sense of responsibility and this can often prove to be a weak point. At other times, it proves to be her strength.

A list of things your character might have on them after they got snatched up and put on this island:

- Gigai ('fake body' that Rukia inhabits so she can be seen by normal human beings)
- Cellphone (DOESN'T WORK) with a rabbit cellphone charm.
- Chappy Soul Candy pills (allows her to come out of the gigai..which is then inhabited by a proxy soul that is ultra hyper and goes "PYON~~~")
- ...which means she has her zanpaktou (soul slayer)
- Memory Modifer ; a tool that wipes out someone's memory and replaces it with a random one (think MIB but...weirder.)
- Bunny backpack with a juice box and a few sandwiches.
