worlddescending posting this awesome gif:

Once I was able to tear myself away from staring, I decided that the fact I had no Adam or Kris icons had to be rectified immediately. While I was searching, I came across this Kradam interview.
Kris' deadpan arm move? LOVE SO MUCH.
PS Dear Kradam fandom, it's sucky when I get all excited over finding adorable Kradam icons only to discover they're based on manips. Props for the awesome photoshopping skillz though.

Back from watch HP&HBP with
bauersgirl. 3 midnight showings, we were at the 3rd one and it was about 85-90% full. It was fun listening to other people analyze the film while I was walking home.
( I'm no good at movie reviews )
Found a new photoshoot of DanRad and they're quite good. ( My, what large eyes you have, Harry )

Well, I just discovered that HBO did a "First Look" for the new Harry Potter so off to YouTube I went! Looking back, I don't know if that was a good idea -- I was looking forward to the movie before, now, after watching the special, I want to see the movie even more!
Since I hate suffering alone, here are the YT clips for your viewing pleasure :) Contains old and new scenes and little interviews with the cast.

Oh! And thanks to

I watched the movie Little Ashes tonight, starring RPatzz as Salvador Dali. And I freely admit that my interest stemmed purely from the fact that the movie dealt with the 'alleged' affair between Dali and Frederic Lorca. OK the movie. The movie was... alright. Nothing special. Poor RPatzz had to wear a couple of really bad wigs there and the trademark Dali mustache looked pretty funny. Also, what is with RPatzz and playing the pale, sullen type? In the beginning, he reminded me of Edward a bit LOL. I loved the costumes -- the suits on the men! Javier Beltram, who protrayed Lorca, is a cutie.
I found a youtube vid of my favourite scene. It's Dali and Lorca's first kiss but what I loved was how it was shot with the moonlight glistening off the water. It was just really pretty. The vid is kinda dark but it'll do.
And here's a gif of Adam doing what he does best (snagged from
keepaofthecheez )

I find this both mesmerizing and hilarious -- the way his belt buckle bounces? LOL
Against my better judgment, I have been watching One Life to Live the past few weeks. The main reason I tuned in was the chance to be able to watch the upcoming Kyle/Fish storyline (I really am predictable) from the beginning. Bonus was the realization that Scott Clifton -- who I loved as Dillon Quartermaine on GH -- is now on OLTL.
Damnit, where is that Torchwood download???

Funny how life works sometimes. I hear nothing for weeks except for the occasional interview with a headhunter/agency and bang! 4 interviews in 1 week. And while I was on the phone with Interview #2 just a few minutes ago, someone leaves a voicemail regarding possible Interview #5. What the hell? Is everyone back from vacation or something?
Interview #1 - controller with a well-known not-for-profit. This was a prelim telephone interview and so far, my choice if I had to choose. Location is kinda far but it's accessible by subway and I'll be going against the traffic so that's a plus.
Interview #2 - senior accountant with a large, international design/engineering/consulting firm. Just had the prelim telephone screening interview. Not sure if it's a right fit though. I'm not too keen on working for a large company. And they're growing too which means more pressure and stress.
Interview #3 (tomorrow) - mat leave contract position with an insurance company. Eh, it's insurance, it's a contract position but it's better than nothing.
Interview #4 (Thurs) - another mat leave contract position with a residential home builder. I used to work for a home builder and I didn't like it. It's also way up in the suburbs but we'll see.
Possible Interview #5 - another home builder, damn. I really shouldn't base my decision on my one bad experience but what is it with me and the real estate industry? OK, that one was a bust. They're looking for someone with IFRS experience which I have none. But the lady said she'll keep my resume on file in case something else pops up.
On one hand, it feels good to be getting these interviews but man, I hate interviewing. I'm really not good at the whole "selling yourself" aspect.

Am I reading this correctly? John Cho is in the new ABC drama, Flash Forward coming this fall? Playing a cop? With Joseph Fiennes as his partner? An Asian man playing a lead character on a major primetime network show?

Kim Jae Wook, actor/model and OMG SO FREAKING PRETTY IT HURTS. I first noticed him in the movie, Antique which I adored and have re-watched too many times to count. He even speaks some French in it *swoon*. I then downloaded the Korean tv series, Coffee Prince -- a bunch of guys working in a coffee shop with a Twelfth Night twist & a quadrangle thrown in for good measure -- where he was part of the supporting cast playing the quiet & mysterious "Waffle Prince". I mainlined all 17 episodes within 4 days which resulted in a lot of late nights so thank god I'm not working!
I'm now addicted Korean dramas and want moooooore!! And it's a slippery slope to Japanese dramas from here. To think I used to tease my mom & SIL for watching this stuff. Korean guys are adorable! Where have I been all this time? LOL
Picspam ahead, of course. ( introducing kim jae wook )

Am back from volunteering at the Pride parade. It was my first time volunteering and while I definitely plan on volunteering again next year, not for the parade though. Damn. It rained constantly in the morning so we all got soaked. The roads were chalked to indicate where all the different groups were to line up but the rain washed them away so no one knew where to go. Of course they ask us but we're just as clueless as they were!
It all somehow worked out in the end. The sun came out within the first 5 minutes of the parade and the rain stopped for good. We were assigned different groups to march with to make sure everything went okay -- ie the group stayed together, no big gaps, media didn't disrupt the flow etc etc. I got the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) contingent! Yeah, I had a real hard job keeping the cops in line LOL! Although having the siren going off right behind you for a hour was no fun.
Walking down the parade route was an experience. So different from being in the audience cause you just don't get see how many people are there and man, the crowds were huge in spite of the rain. I heard some of the cheesiest lines from people flirting with the cops (there was one black male cop that everyone liked =]). We got flashed by a couple of girls leaning out of their apartment window -- a lot of people enjoyed that LOL! Only during Pride can one flash a cop, shoot a water pistol at a cop and try to hook up with a cop without consequence!
( Was able to snag some pictures while I hung around at the end of the parade route. Some are NSFW. )

AI singing Don't Stop Believing and it's not so good. Adam has the voice for it and so do some of the others but some do not. There were some cringe-worthy parts in there. Too bad you can hardly see little Kris.
Oh why must we wait til September for new Glee? All these promos/interviews/snippets are killing me!
Let's see what else have I been up to?
* Lunch yesterday with the ex-co-workers which was nice.
* Planned on going to Centre Island but stupid strike = no ferry service
* Will be volunteering at our Pride parade this Sunday. Little nervous as I have no idea what I'm doing (first time volunteer) but it'll be fun. Yonge Street is going to be a mess with this strike though.
* Catching up on 30 Rock -- my favourite episode so far is "Cougars" where Liz dates cute coffee boy Jamie, Frank goes gay for him (LOL) and Bush/Iraq War is transferred onto the baseball field.
* Went to my 3rdand final New Kids concert. Good times.
* Currently obsessed with the Korean movie, Antique, about 4 guys working in a cake shop.

Kim Jae-Wook (2nd from the right, in the glasses) is just so... pretty.
* Saw Transformers 2 and I enjoyed it for being the summer Michael Bay blow-crap-up movie that it was :) They showed the teaser trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender and while I'm still pissed about the non-Asian casting, it did look good. Now impatiently waiting for Harry Potter!
* ( robin hood finale )

RIP Farrah Fawcett. RIP Michael Jackson.
I never watched the original Charlie's Angels and know very little of Fawcett's career. And although I grew up in the Michael Jackson era and I still own the Thriller vinyl record, MJ had no dramatic effect on my own life. Both of them, for a time, became more famous for their personal lives than their professional ones. May both of them rest in peace.

I find this cover to be ridiculously hot, IDEK. Most of the time, Adam doesn't really do anything for me but for some reason, this picture... *flails*
And the tidbit from the interview with Adam admitting he had a crush on Kris but got over it when they became friends? I'm not even remotely in the Kradam fandom except for what I see on my f-list but I can hear them exploding right about now LOL
IMO, the most positive thing to come out of this is the friendship between Adam and Kris. Their bromance just gives me the warm & fuzzies. *squishes them both*

Exhibit A: (picture snagged from all over my f-list)

Why is this is not my job? Why did I not go into hair/makeup for movies/tv? WHHHHHYYYYYYY????
Exhibit B: I am not at the Torchsong convention in Chicago (for Torchwood). I didn't even know there was a con until a bunch of bad news sprung up just before. First Kai Owen had to cancel due to a family tragedy. Then John Barrowman injures himself (he fell off his balcony and badly injured his ankle) and is not allowed to fly. Then Tom Price gets hit by a bloody car! (but he still shows up for a bit with a broken arm).
Anyway, Barrowman still made an appearance via video link which was great of him. Now, all these reports are coming in about how Scott, John's gorgeous hubby, made an appearance in A WHITE SPEEDO WITH 'FUEL INJECTION' WRITTEN ACROSS HIS ARSE. Scott, whom fandom has pretty much left alone as it was known that he preferred to stay in the background. Now he's making con appearances 90% naked, getting his arse slapped by John and demostrating sexual positions! All I'm saying is that there better be pictures!
Exhibit C: The refrigerator and cupboards are bare. I have nothing to eat except for Campbell soup which I am really sick of. Must grocery shop tomorrow.

I've seen Riverdance on the television and via video but today, I finally saw it live. Amazing, of course. What was especially amusing was a twenty-something year-old guy (with his gf) in our little row who kept making exclamations like "Jesus!" and "Wow!" Awwww, he was completely fanboying the dancers.
The precision and speed is beyond brillant but what always gets me is how the guy seems to float/glide across the stage as if his feet never touches the ground. It awes me. And the flamenco dance is probably one of the sexiest things I've seen on stage.
In other news, I need to STOP SPENDING MONEY. This is especially hard to do when there is all this free time and a freaking mall right outside my building.
The reading challenge is becoming pathetic. I'm 2.5 years into it and I've just passed the halfway mark. That's just sad.
