THE GIRL
My name is October. No I am not kidding, and no it is not a nickname. It is the name on my birth certificate. I'm fifteen years old, turning sixteen this October. Ironic yes? I've got blue eyes and red hair. I'm a Scorpio, and within one day of knowing me, you will learn this. I'm a living, breathing, walking example of every Scorpio-stereotype. I'm Christian and proud. I will not debate the existence of God with you. A lot of my hobbies revolve around some form of art or another. I don't really collect anything, unless junk counts. I'm one of those people who never throw anything away. Dreams and aspirations? I'd like to become a WWE Diva. I absolutely love wrestling. I've been watching it since I was six. Don't bother telling me it's fake. Fans understand more about wrestling than those of you who critisise.
THE MUSIC
I listen to a lot of different types of music, though I mostly tend to listen more in the "rock" category. I don't listen to a lot of new music. Out of the bands most people are listening to today, I listen to AFI, The Used, My Chemical Romance, and some Taking Back Sunday. The majority of my favorites are 80s hair bands. Such as Guns-n-Roses, Poison, Van Halen, etc. I especially love Skid Row. I'm a huge U2 fan, and I love oldschool Madonna. Anyone who knows me knows that I adore The Cure. I also like to throw some R&B into the mix, which brings up my love for the Black Eyed Peas. Let's not forget the wrestlers-gone-musicians Chris Jericho with Fozzy, and John Cena. And of course, I can't forget the very roots of the soundtrack to my life: punk rock. My favorite punk band would probably have to be The Casualties, followed in a close second by Rancid.
LOVE & FURY
LOVE & FURY is the key to my life. Most people think I took this from the song "LoveFuryPassionEnergy" by Boy Hits Car because it's a favorite of mine, but no. I created this expression for myself long before I heard that song. I took the two most important elements to me, love and fury, and combined them. Love for myself and my passions, and fury because to me, fury is the most uncontrollable and intense feeling I can posess. |

This isn't my personal journal, blog, whatever you'd like to call it. This is my art blog. THE ART
I work with all different types of art. I sing, I act. I paint, I sketch. I write, I design. I sew, I create. Here you'll find my writing, graphic art, photography, and pictures of my creations. I needed a place where I'd be able to focus my creative channels, and an art blog seemed like the perfect place to start.
THE NAME-INSPIRATION
The title of this journal, semi_charmed_ was inspired by the song "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind. That song has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it. When I was younger, it was just something about the beat that stuck with me. Now that I'm older, I realize how fascinating the lyrics are. It's just one of those perfect songs to me, that make me want to scream whenever it comes on the radio. I can't explain it, it's just something that no one but myself will ever understand.
