Hey mah dears, im Andrew-William, and this is my music journal. So, basically, i'm really into most genres of music, although i tend to lean towards alt rock, trip hop and alternative anything, really. However im open to almost everything, including rap and country, although not as much as other genres (just don't have the time to explore ALL of them at the same time! :D)
Okay, soooooo, i love A LOT of bands and musicians, but here's some of my favorites: RIlo Kiley, Eisley, Esthero, Five For Fighting, Morcheeba, Frou Frou, The Pillows, Butterfly Boucher, Joni Mitchell, The Libertines, Rufus Wainwright, Sleater-Kinney.

description: really amazing. Jenny's voice is basically one of the best in the business right now, bar none. This album SOUNDS very country-folkish, but the lyrics are more indie. A lot of stuff about God and if he's there/what he doesn't do etc. It isn't really in an attackish sort of way (attackish is now a word hahaha).
favorite track: #9, handle with care.

description: Lisa is amazing. Her songs are awesome. GO BUY IT NOW! hahaha, but seriously, this is a kick ass album encompassing songs from all of Lisa's releases, from her breakout hit "Stay (I Miss You)" to the catchy new theme song from her reality tv show "Single Me Out" (tv show= #1 Single). Personally, I loveloveLOVE the first half of the compilation, actually, almost the whole alum, up to track 12 I think, but I've now warmed up to the rest of the album, as well ^_^.
favorite track: #12, Wishing Heart.

description: Sigur Ros's new album is a lot like the 05 Broken Social Scene release (self-titled). A lot of sweeping soundscapes and long songs. I love it, and it's in a different language, which adds to the mysterious depth of the album, for me. I really like how the whole album seems connected, like the songs were built around eachother. I really respect artists who still pay attention to the album format, the idea that an album is a musical experience, not just a collection of random songs with maybe one or two chart toppers. However, there are kinda annoying points at the beginnings and endings of some songs that are just silence with small instrumental stuff, barely audible though, and that's kinda boring.
